Can these wheels be used with wheelchairs of any kind?

So long as it is equipped with holes in the soleplate, or you can drill them. A flip-up chair is one that you can flip up and down Depending on your footplate, you may not be able to turn it

How do these work with footrests of any type?

Shoes can be held securely in the shoe holder by attaching it to the footrest of many wheelchairs. Consequently, there are four bolts and nuts that must be screwed into the footplate in each set of shoe holders. If you would like to attach the shoe holders to the foot rest with Velcro (not included), that is another option.

Is this mod capable of lifting the foot off the wheelchair pedals at what height? Does the bottom of the container have a thick base?

For my son's wheelchair, I removed the straps (we didn't really need as much control as this) and used industrial strength adhesive velcro (instead of the hardware) to attach them to the footrests - His feet do not slip off the rests while he is sitting on them. With the Velcro, which I purchased elsewhere, we can remove the shoe holders when we want to flip up the footrests into a more convenient position.

Despite the simplicity of the pair, the setup isn't complex. This item is functional, durable, and has fasteners, but it also has an inordinate amount of simplicity. These days, I would anticipate a bit more from an injection molded part, especially. Matte finishes do not blend into flat surfaces completely, but they do tend to There is a raised area on the underside, probably to save weight and material. The effects of this on cleaning are not clear to me. Overall, the product is good for the price and does what it is supposed to do.

Especially effective for legs with weakness

I use it for my manual wheelchair and it works great. My feet just clip right in now because my dad screwed them on to my foot pads and now they don't slip off the petals.

For the wheelchair of my husband, I purchased these. His feet do not slip off the foot rests because the foot rests work so well. In a nursing home, he had to have some of the buckles replaced because the CNAs had stepped on them and broke them. Rehabilitation Advantage sent me some free replacement straps with the buckles attached within a few days after I contacted them. I am very pleased with this purchase, and it continues to function well.

There were no bolts included with these, but they're quite good. I will have to order another set as soon as possible and return the set without bolts. My dad needs them right now, so I must order another set right away.
