The patient must be able to demonstrate both the ability to lock and unlock independently for it to be considered a restraint.
This is accomplished by screws that keep the back of the chair covered with fabric. Straps are very good.
My husband would fit perfectly in this, but a child would be too long for it. My experience with it has been good so far, and i have not encountered any problems. It's hard to tell if it is just a seat belt. You can install it easily. It is very rare for these to come with instructions, so I was surprised that Wheelchairs have screws that can be loosened on the back of the chair. In this case, the screw is inserted into the hold on the end of the belt, and the screw is then In a wheelchair, caution still needs to be used and we still need to be aware of the position of someone, but this belt does aid in keeping them In fact, this belt acts like the seat belt in our automobile, opening and closing. It simply requires a push of the red button to release the belt.
The belt is easily adjustable (one side, not the other). As you can see in a few of the photos, there is a cushion on the side of the chair. I am posting these photos to demonstrate the installation of the belt. Although it may look strange to some, I have no problem with it. We are using the cushion we purchased for her original seating to help support my mom on that side. No matter where she sits, she leans to that side. Without the cushion, she leans WAY over the side. It's not a perfect solution, but I think it helps.
Make sure you measure this item before making a Not only is it not long enough, but it is also not sturdy. As a result of a broken belt on my mobility chair, I made this purchase. This new one was assumed to be long enough because I didn't measure it. That was a big mistake! If you were small or if you had a pediatric mobility chair, you could use it. I would assume that even if you have a very small waist (adult), you would have problems when you wear a coat or jacket. Since the buckle and hardware were all included in this new one, I had no problem swapping them. What broke was the plastic casing around the old buckle. As a 10 dollar purchase, I didn't think twice, I was glad that my brother noticed that they could be switched and I am thrilled to be locked into my mobility chair once.
Using a Solara 3G seat belt unit, I attached the seat belt. I did not have the additional seat belt attachment from Invacare that I would have liked to have had. After taking out 2 bolts and attaching the belt, it was easy to do. is easy to adjust, and it releases with a push of a button. It appears to be a sturdy, durable belt. So far, it only dates back to June 26, 2021, so it remains to be seen how it evolves.
It arrived right on time, and the instructions were By using a philips screwdriver, you can easily install this product. It is made of a sturdy, durable material. It is easy to put on and take off the buckle. My husband stands at 5'9" tall and weighs 190 pounds. The length of the belt is the reason why it received three stars. In order to make it several inches longer, he has to struggle to get it to lock because there is not enough length left to adjust. While it is completely up to us, this is another thing he could be doing by himself without assistance, but to force the ends together requires too much strength for him right now. It is important to consider that many people in your target market are larger than your length specifications. Adding a few dollars to cover your costs would be okay with me.
If you have a lot of flesh, then forget it, as it has a tendency to rustle if you lean forward too much.
Worked for me, I'm happy to report. I needed to adjust it several times and it held in place. It's the same ISBN number as what I was led to buy but seems to be a cheaper model. If it were possible, I would have liked to have received the exact model pictured here.
On this chair, there are no screws running along the If you remove bolts from the frame, the warranty for the wheelchair is void, and that is true only if they are in the There is more of a dispute between the wheelchair manufacturer and Amazon about which belt to recommend.
