Possibly canvas, this is a cloth. As a person weighing 176 pounds, I tested it (got in it) with the device attached to a 'bar' that has two hooks out at each end and is centered at the lift hook. 18" may be more or less the length of the bar Even without four lifting places, this sling works great, but it's best when you have two of them. As long as the hole is not near the lift's driving mechanism or the passenger's comfort, it doesn't affect it at all. In addition, the places for the lifts that can be adjusted are great. My husband is a 90-year-old civil engineer, and I like the quality of the container both as far as strength and size. Also, it was a great price in comparison to other locations.

'This lift sling is awesome. It is well made, and the price is right' A packed bag. It is made from a strong, durable material. I have it hooked up to my hoyer lift and it works perfectly. It is easy for patients to use, and it has a holder in back to make it more comfortable. The disabled dude and their loving families are recommended.

There is a lot of roughness and scratchiness in the material! I cannot use the fabric for its intended purpose with my husband. His skin is far too sensitive for the material.
