An elderly parent has this tray, so we bought it for them. The product is sturdy and beautifully crafted We gave the Stander Couchcane (another excellent Stander product) as a gift and it was built, attached, and worked perfectly during our test period. This is something that I did just a few days ago for my 85-year-old In less than five minutes, I was able to assemble the device. I was answered to all of my prayers, and it managed to accomplish much more than I had anticipated. When I take care of my mother, she has trouble getting up from her elevated seat lift chair because her hands slip off the arms, causing the chair to slide back. There were TWO broken windows in less than 2 months, both at the same location. A new update has been added! CLASS ACT is an understatement to describe this company. Fortunately, they delivered much more than I expected in terms of resolving the issue. You'll receive first class customer service here. If there's a problem, just keep it cool and call. You can be sure they will make it right! There are thin and poorly welded welds in the plate where the bolt goes in, and also the plate itself. It took less than two months for both bolt plates to snap off the frame in the exact same place. Originally, I purchased two of these thinking they would be perfect. Sadly, they were not. Sorry to hear that. You can see an urgent problem if you take a closer look at this. There is rust inside the tubing, and you can even see that the edge that was supposed to be welded WAS NOT since it's covered with rust. It appears that this is a quality control It is a good offer indeed, and I will take them up on it. I will adjust this review and update it as needed. For the first 7 months, it worked well, but then the welds on the base broke, and it is now a junk item. Generally good quality, but the welding placement at the base angle is poor after I removed the plastic shrouds on the bottom after it broke (I removed the plastic shrouds on bottom). As a result, pulling on the handle to get out of the chair does not have direct weld support and forces only the side welds to support weight, which in turn causes the side welds to shear over time and ultimately fails. When sitting down, the top weld is useful, but not when The bottom needs to be welded as well (below screw socket to hold it in place) so the base is properly supported when standing. It would also be helpful if the legs of chairs or couches could be captured so they don't 'walk' off the stand. The sofa had to be lifted every month to fix and that caused me a lot of trouble- It is preferred that only one setup is needed. I expected a better engineering design due to the high costs. It would be a plus if they fixed the weld placement before I purchased again.
