This is what I'm going to say. Apparently, this basket will not fit for a large number of people. There is a remarkable difference in the front of this basket compared to the front of most walkers. In order to conform to the curve, I bent the basket (just a little). As I attached it to the walker, I used the velcro pieces (the three small ones at the top and the two longer ones on each side). My life has been saved by it! The basket has enabled me to carry large drink cups, bowls, plates, and even my computer in it to my bedroom on my own. As a result, I had anterior hip revision surgery (a second hip replacement on the same leg) on May 30, 2018 (lucky me!) and I was not allowed to put any weight on the leg for 8 weeks. It took two weeks for me to gain 100 pounds (down to 50% for a week). In the months since I left the orthopedic rehab unit and went home, I have lived with this walker by my side. I was also alone during most of the time so I would get food, drinks, and snacks to my bedroom from the kitchen since it was too difficult for my hip to bend. I really like how this worked. My drink is served in one of these huge Bubba cups from Walmart, and I wedge it down to fit on the smaller side of the plastic insert (photo). These gigantic cups are not common to see. There are a few things I noticed in the plastic insert. There are people who say it is thin, etc. It's sort of in a way, but what they forgot to say was that it sits in the basket, so it doesn't matter what the angle is. This is just a liner that is attached to the bottom of the basket to prevent items from falling through and a cup holder as you roll, etc. I'd say don't worry about the negative reviews since it would never be used as a tray. It was too wide for the cereal bowl and plates to fit into the basket, so whenever I needed to take them to my bedroom, I would fold a thick dishtowel across the top of the basket to give the bottom of the bowl or plate a place to nestle. There were some plates that were a little tricky, but not impossible to complete. To turn it over, I would just keep my finger on the plate. Once or twice I've let some chips fall and it would tip over a bit. Luckily, the situation changed for the better. They were caught by a "liner" I had! I was in love with the basket, as you can tell. To summarize, I think this basket is great and, in hindsight, I would have paid 5 times as much (or even more) than the $12 I paid. My cost was $99, the amount I paid. You shouldn't minimize your need to use this basket just because of those other reviews if you have to use a walker. As long as the walker is straight across the front, you can use it. You can drop in a fairly large amount into this HEALTHSMART WALKER BASKET, which I like a lot For short distances, you will need to transport items of a certain size. It will, however, be difficult to carry heavy items, since the Velcro straps hold it in place. As a result, the walker won't really fold flat when it is attached to it because it extends a few inches in front of it. The basket is not really an "universal" walker basket, as other reviewers have pointed out. There is no way to hold the cup/glass holder firmly vertical, so it serves no purpose. It's great that Amazon has so many return options! Strong clips secure the walker frame to the item, and the product is extremely sturdy. It's even better, it's true, so with no problems at all, it's a product anyone would use for a walker, and is completely level and rigid The service was very good, the price was affordable, and it was strurdy to boot The best way to find out (I'm showing my age) is to ask for it. Generally, it is a great product at a fair price. It does all that it is supposed to do while being fairly priced. A lightweight basket that can hold smaller items would be ideal. In my case, the walker was made by Guardian, and because it had an angled front bar, the basket wobbled if mounted in front of it. It was easy, convenient, and stable to mount at the rear. Although the rear mounting does prevent flat folding of the walker, it can be partially folded so that it can be easily stuffed in the back of a car, and it can stand on its own out of the way at restaurants. It is the perfect size to prevent small items from falling without taking up much space at all.
