I haven't washed it yet, but there's foam on the inside of the covering, so using the washing machine shouldn't be a problem.
They can! They get filthy quickly, in my opinion - If you don't close the velcro when washing or drying them, they'll stick to everything. I've discovered that velcroing the two pads together to form a larger loop (rather than just closing one pad with the velcro) makes them wash and dry more easily.
It's available, and I have it in black.
These aren't crutches, believe it or not. They're crutch PADS that attach to your crutches and adjust to any size.

Omg! Without these, I'll never be able to use crutches again! I read a review that said, "I actually want to use my crutches," and I thought to myself, "No way!" What exactly does he get? They were absolutely correct! For my pits, it's like a cloud! Bruising is no longer an issue. For the other style, I purchased the same company's brand, which is a sleek memory foam style. Those don't work and only beef up the top part, so they're being returned. But THESE, oh my god. Amazing. I didn't find the hand part to be too big or uncomfortable, and they are also very useful and enjoyable to use. Thank you very much!.
Everyone said my armpits would be in excruciating pain, but that hasn't been the case. They're simple to put on and stay put. Machine washable and simple to care for. I couldn't use the hand grips because they were a little too thick for my small hands, but I did discover that they are attached with extremely strong Velcro and are extremely soft.
Unlike other crutch padding, it does not irritate or feel slippery. To compare, I ordered a second set of padding for about $8 more at the same time. There is a significant difference in comfort, which surprised me because the sheepskin pads were $8 cheaper. There's also the fact that they're machine washable. They fit perfectly after I washed and dried them. I'm going to order another set today to keep on hand in case I need crutches after my surgery this summer. AN AMAZING PRODUCT!.
The pads seemed too large under my arms at first (I'm 4' 11" and use youth crutches), but they molded over time. I no longer have pain in my arms and underarms after using these pads because they are so comfortable and supportive. br>br>A set of arm pads was also included with the pads. Instead of crutches, I used my walker to support them. br>br>I've been using these sheepskin pads for about two months now, ever since my physical therapist recommended them to me. I washed them in the washing machine and found that flipping the insides out made it easier to dry the foam inside the pads. If you'll be using crutches for an extended period of time, these pads are a good investment!.
The armpit and top portions have been excellent and are extremely useful for leaning crutches against walls and other objects. They're a great under-the-sea solution. Using crutches at a level just below the armpit if your arms can do it arm-grip at a level just below the armpit if your arms can do it arm-grip at a level just below the armpit if your arms can do it arm- It's all about the look. br>br>Because the grip parts wrap around the existing grips, I quickly removed them. They have a big velcro-style closure. I found them to be reducing safety beyond any comfort they provided by being lumpy and spinning on the grips.
The first shipment arrived, but one set was missing. Given that I have two chafed armpits, this isn't ideal. My order was fulfilled two weeks after I placed it. I tried them on, but they were too thick for me, and lowering my crutches to accommodate the pad was too low. I guess I'm in between sizes, as with most things. The shedding is the second issue to deal with. I'm sure it will improve if you use them for longer than a day, but after only a few hours of use, I'm covered in black fibers. br>Meanwhile, here's what I'd suggest: Two athletic shirts should be worn at all times. They're less abrasive than cotton, and when you wear two of them, they slide over each other, resulting in less friction on your skin.
Increase the discomfort of the crutches. We had to send these back to the manufacturer. They were just big enough to fit over the arm pad. They strew their feces all over the place. Once you get them over the arm pad, they're so thick that the crutches barely fit under your arm pit, making them uncomfortable. The hand pads are also too thick, so you can barely get your hand around them to grip the crutch once you've put them on.
I could keep the existing hand cushions and cover them with the sheepskin covers. However, as a woman with smaller hands than a man, the hand cushions are too big for me. The straps for the sheepskin covers' underarm cushions appear to be too loose, and they would benefit from being lengthened. I'm not pleased at all with these! I won't be able to return them because I threw out the original underarm cushions, and I'm in desperate need of a cushion due to a sprained ankle. My old ones were torn and wouldn't stay on, so I was on the lookout for something new or different. These slipcovers are not something I would recommend!.
