I can't believe I'm looking at crutch replacement parts because you only had one job, MedLine
3/5

I'm currently disabled and relying on crutches to get around. I'd been using the same crutch bottoms for almost eight weeks when they finally gave out and needed to be replaced. I got about 7 days out of these before they gave out again. It's not like I'm the center of attention in my 600-pound life; I'm 200 pounds, fit, and trim. As I wiped out and landed on my bum, I left a long scratch on my hardwood floor. My foot is broken and my bum is now hurting. This isn't cool, Medline! Don't put your safety in the hands of these shoddy replacement parts. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> My second set of replacements lasted exactly one week.

POSSIBLE KNOCKOFFS ARE DANGEROUS
3/5

It's hard to believe they're made by the same company that made my crutches. High-quality foam cushions and grips with slip-resistant rubberized vinyl tips (feet) were included with my crutches. These ostensibly identical replacements are made of flimsy vinyl, and the tips aren't even close to being solid or slip-resistant. These could work for someone who isn't too picky. br>br>Update: I had the tips on for seven days when the end of my crutch popped through, leaving me unsupported and causing me to slip and fall. THESE APPEARED TO BE KNOCK-OFFS TO ME. OFFS FROM THE START, AND NOW IT HAS BEEN PROVEN THAT THEY DID NOT EAT THE SAME QUALITY AS MY GUARDIAN/MEDLINE CRUTCHES-.

Junk
3/5

Over the course of a month, my husband went through three sets of these. The crutch's metal part continued to pierce the rubber feet. In a sense, the rubber "sheds. " He'd get small pieces of rubber all over his hands and the surface on which he rested his crutches. I finally persuaded him to switch to a different brand because these are garbage.

Replacement of a small foot
3/5

Following surgery, I replaced crutches that I borrowed. I used this set for a few weeks because it was clean and felt good. In comparison to the original pieces, I found the foot pieces to be quite small. I was fortunate in that I was able to bear some weight on the leg that had surgery, but if you are unable to bear any weight, you may feel more unstable.

BEWARE OF THE BUYER
3/5

On Tuesday, I began using crutches, and by Saturday, the bottom of the tip had completely worn through. That's only four days of light use! This is not acceptable. I read a few reviews before purchasing this product, but now that I look further, I see that many people are having the same problem. Clearly, there is a defect in the product, but unlike many other companies, Medline does not provide a way to contact them directly via the Amazon link. br>I haven't used the grips or underarm pads yet, but I don't think I ever will. BEWARE OF THE BUYER.

They aren't even close to being as good as the ones I had on my crutches before
3/5

These are acceptable. They aren't even close to being as good as the ones I had on my crutches before. I only bought these because I needed crutches and found them at Goodwill. I didn't want to get my hands on anyone else's grips. These aren't as grippy or as cushioned as the others. Those who start at the bottom tend to slip a lot. I've gone off the rails I've already fallen a couple of times, once resulting in re-injury. injury. They do a good job for the most part, but they aren't quite up to par with the original. I wouldn't buy it unless you're in desperate need of replacements or if you're like me and have a lot of them. I purchased a pair of crutches that had been previously used.

The use of thin pads is ineffective
3/5

The use of thin pads is ineffective. Although the quality appears to be good, they have been made too thin to be of much use. These were purchased to replace some pads on some crutches that I believe were less expensive. These pads, on the other hand, are much thinner than the ones that came with the crutches a few years ago. The only parts that I believe are comparable to what I already have are the foot pads. I wouldn't recommend these unless you plan on purchasing additional underarm cushions to go with them.

Be careful who you buy from
3/5

There is minimal cushion on the hand pieces, and the rubber made to fit in the end of the crutches is very hard--almost like plastic--which I dislike. I'm not sure they won't be slick on some surfaces, either. br>The purpose of this product is to make crutches more comfortable and safe to use. It falls short, and it also appears to be the polar opposite of what it claims to be.
