I'd been on crutches for about two months and needed something to relieve the pain in my armpits and hands quickly. This was the most incredible purchase I've ever made! The crutches themselves were a little difficult to get on, but they're soft and fluffy, so your armpits feel like they're resting on pillows. The hand rests swivel a lot, but they're extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, after washing, they began to get strings all over them, but at $11, it's a reasonable price to easily replace them.
These were ordered for my daughter, who had been on crutches for several weeks. I needed something with a lot of padding to protect her bruised and sore underarms. Only two of the four pieces that were supposed to be included in the set were delivered to me. There was also no velcro to open in order to slip the padding over the top portion. It was only attached with three buckles and straps. On the plus side, my daughter commented that the padding is thick and comfortable under her arms. We didn't get what we ordered, which is a disappointment. For two of the four pieces, I wouldn't have paid this much.
I took them out of the package but have yet to put them on my crutches because I ordered these as well as another type of crutch padding. These seem to be quite thick and cushiony. When my other crutch padding is washed, I intend to put them on my crutches. After that, I'll let you know how things are going. However, they appear to be as described for the time being.
Crutches can be painful these days, so I figured that adding more padding would help. br>br>However, when I first got these, I couldn't get the armrest pieces to fit. I had to double-check the item to make sure I hadn't accidentally ordered crutch pads for a child. They would only fit if I removed the rubber rest piece that came with the crutches, at which point the extra padding would be the same as if I had just left them alone. br>br>The padding is nice, but what good is it if it doesn't fit?.
The top padding is thick and doesn't feel like memory foam, but it still feels good under the arms. The hand grips, on the other hand, appear to be too long and don't seem to fit the handles without stretching the fabric, which causes it to bunch up.
They were just like they said they would be.
The material is nice and soft, and it fits perfectly with my crutches.
It was necessary for me to return the items. They were AWFULLY made and did not fit. It was a complete waste of my time, and it was extremely discouraging.
