This is not what you want if you are looking for underarm pads! You can find the kit by searching for "Essential Medical Supply Crutch Accessory Kit". There is a $10 charge. Despite the fact that they might look weird and feel cheap, after being on crutches for over 25 years I had my fair share of good and As a pro (which is extremely important) Pros soft, comfortable to walk around in, but not as stable as you'd like. Waters are not friendly to me. As soon as they are wet, they become sticky. -(If I find a better product I will update it. )
Now my opinion of this product
These are the worst underarm pads I have ever used. They are hard with a lot of looseness on top of it. Walking causes them to slip off on their own. There seems to be no end to the supply of this scum. Using crutches is useless for me since I need them for mobility. When it comes to the hand grips, they are nice and solid, and they have a smooth texture that makes them comfortable to hold. To say how a crutch tip will turn out is too early. This rating will be lowered by another 2 stars if the cushions begin to tear within the next couple of weeks. (Under arm pads and crutch tips are the most important parts of sets like these. In my opinion, it should not be purchased by anyone if they are using crutches for more than a few )
A good tip for crutch tips is The trick I mention here has proven useful for crutch tips if you want to give it a shot. A set of extra tips can be purchased from any retailer. With a $10 black crutch tip on Amazon, I found a device that is not bad for testing. The brand that you prefer is perfectly fine (but please use whatever you feel most that you've got the additional set, you can place it somewhere outside. Make sure they are upside down when you put them outside if it rains, so that water doesn't collect on the tips of the plants. Putting it in the shade was all I did. Put them out when you need them and leave them out. This is the ideal time to remove them during the summer. The tips of my crutch usually last for 12 months after being outside for a few months This is my 18th month.
have been on crutches several times in the last thirty years, including for a spiral fracture of the tibia, a hip replacement, infection in the hip with a resurfacing surgery, micro fractures in my knee, and now full knee replacement surgery. The crutches worked for me, but they were scruffy and the foam parts were dried out. I had to hold them in place with duct tape because the underarm parts were loose. I particularly like the new replacement parts because they fit perfectly and look good, but are most important for comfort. If you must use traditional crutches, this is highly recommended.
Here are my photos, one of which identifies a crutch that is six (6) years old and has seen periodic use, and which I am attempting to rehab. As you can see from the photos, the top underarm cushion fits, but is noticeably thinner than the bottom one. In my case, I was unable to remove the hand grip because my crutch is made of aluminum and the clip on the top is press fit so that I can easily The pieces need to be cut and taped before installation. I'm disappointed that the foot cushions are a bit narrower and a bit shorter than I expected, 1 & 2 The following dimensions are 11/16' x 2" The original is 1 & 3/4" in size, the replica is 1 & 3/4". Measures 3" x 2 and a half inches Half an inch. Information such as this is provided so that others can be better informed. In the future, I may report back on how these items worked for me.
It took 3 weeks for the hand grips to wear through, and a hole appeared through them within 2 Moreover, the crutch tips punched right through the pads, which left them inoperative. I was attempting to walk but my crutch slipped out from under me and I fell to the ground. What a bad product this is, I cannot stress this enough. You can save yourself an extra $11 if you save it.
Previously stored crutches on which all the rubber parts had become brittle and dry rotted. I was looking for replacement crutch parts, and these fit the bill. Having rubber under arm pads on crutches is never comfortable, so we bought additional slip-on covers from another vendor with a more supple pad to cover the rubber under arm pads. We were able to implement these replacement parts to renew our crutches in no time at all.
Using the product under the arms is great, and the tips are excellent as well. My grips are more uncomfortable than the grips I had with my previous grips that I had several years ago. I'm not sure if this is because of the material used or the product itself, but this is worse than my previous grips. After using them for just a few minutes, I developed bruises on my palms due to the lack of a cushion. Luckily I didn't throw my old ones away, so I was at least able to use some decent hand padding, which I think is the most important thing.
It was quite difficult for me to use my crutches since they It had been perhaps 30 years since the rubber grips and rests began to weep and fall apart. I chose to try replacing the handle and rest rather than simply throwing them away. I had everything replaced and it fit perfectly. You now have a pair of crutches that you can use when necessary.
As a result, the grips are solid, meaning that there isn't an easy way to reinsert the plastic component. I used a hammer and couldn't get it to work. Then I said, there had to be a more convenient way to do this. If you want the split ones, go to Carex and buy them for I am 99 years old. I will give some rest to the vendors The crutches I use are ten years old and the gadget may have changed to a smaller model that's easier to use. I don't know. But I was very disappointed by the result.
