It was about two months ago that I purchased it. Tropical climates, like those in South Florida, tend to be very humid. By leaving my hearing aids in the Zephyr for a few months, I was confident that their lifespan would be prolonged. During the first month or two of use, the unit worked well, but the motor began to make a rather annoying sound. It was in the bedroom, so I had to move it. In a fit of whim, I reached out to their customer service department to see if they had any ideas. A tap on the unit can sometimes fix the problem, according to the technician, since that type of motor is what it is. Despite my efforts, I couldn't get ahold of anybody. There was no way I could recover my money. They immediately sent me a new unit with a prepaid Fedex return label when I emailed them again describing the same issue. We are pleased with the new Zephyr. This is a great company to do business I would like to thank Stacie for such a fantastic experience.
Previous to this, I had a Dry and Store unit that lasted for years and did a good After I replaced the switch on it, I decided to try the Zephyr because it's much more compact and easier to bring along with you. When I began to use it, I noticed that it got a LOT hotter than the Dry and Store. That is, it was hot enough that you couldn't take your hearing aids out of the dryer and put them into your ears immediately. Those support aids are made of plastic, so I cannot imagine that much heat would be good for them. In an attempt to prevent damage from increased heat, I have been turning the Zephyr on a small number of times out of three, usually about one night out of three. This unit has fallen out of use after only seven months and only intermittent usage. A loud buzzing or buzzing noise has begun coming from the fan or something else in the unit. There is still hope that it can be repaired under warranty, but I have not yet contacted the company.
There is no longer a way for me to use it. I didn't think the last one was going to last that long! A procedure needs to be in place for reporting defective products by Amazon. You can usually contact the manufacturer but it can be complicated. The same problem has been reported by two other people.
During the first five months, it performed well. I have been more consistent with cleaning since I bought this dryer. My husband and I use it most nights. When I used it, I noticed that I was more inclined to clean consistently. Due to the shrinking of the wax, cleaning is easier every day. There is an audible sound coming from the fan. As the unit is very large and the power cord is long, it can be difficult to travel with. Those desiccant blocks and the unit are very expensive. I will look for a cheaper option.
I'll It was I who purchased this dryer kit for my cochlear implant that is behind the ear. As a result of my outdoor environment, sweating is a constant struggle. In the evening before I go to sleep, I insert the cochlear implant to keep it running for the next day. This has helped me to reduce my concerns about moisture getting into the implant and affecting it. This product is recommended to anyone who wears hearing aids or a cochlear implant, to help protect these products.
Having worn hearing aids for over 20 years, I can confirm that they work. As of right now, I wear hearing aids Since I have owned this pair for about 3 years, I have gotten to know my hearing aid doctor by name.
I had been using a cheaper dryer for my hearing aids, but it didn't seem very effective. Therefore, I started shopping for a higher quality dryer out of desperation. Initially, I found the product on Amazon, where it appeared to have a decent rating. The idea of using a fan to improve the flow of dry air past the aids made a lot of sense to me as an engineer. For three months now, I have owned this unit and I am extremely pleased with its results. Neither I nor my hearing doctor have seen each other since November. Despite my hearing aids performing excellently, I was not satisfied with their performance. The quality of the product has exceeded my expectations. You can actually "feel" how bone dry the hearing aids are when I remove them from the unit in the morning. My unit is on the go with me quite frequently and I do my best to care for it. Wrapping it in bubble wrap and packing it in my suitcase is what I do. As a result, it is a relatively small device that travels well. In the event that you wear hearing aids, please buy or recommend this product to your patients or clients! If you are a hearing aid doctor, please suggest this product to your patients.
I consulted Seth Maixner, my audiologist at Midwest Hearing in Topeka, KS, because I sweat a lot and needed something that would bring me relief from this irritation I could hear my hearing aids buzzing because of condensation. I love this product and would recommend it to anyone I'm more than satisfied & I appreciate the service This product has been very helpful.
The fan worked fine for about 10 months, then it stopped producing air flow or heat, and it started making a grinding noise. There is a burning smell coming from the motor. The party has not lasted as long as I would have liked. For such subpar performance, the price is a bit high. I have trouble finding out how the warranty has been handled.
