It has a Maxell CR2032, still going strong at 3 years old, that came with the game 24 years ago. This is V062. A sealed hard drive with that level of performance would almost certainly have a shelf life around 40 years since it would maintain the equivalent of 24 years of Save RAM without fail.
The purchase was made in September. The year 2014 is currently. There is no mention of an expiration date.

The batteries in our digital bathroom scale need to be replaced. Battery arrived in excellent condition and fit tightly into the battery compartment of our scale. A date of expiration of Feb 2020 is listed on the batteries. This was a great deal for the price paid, and I was able to avoid running around to local stores to replace the battery. I appreciate your help.
The amount of CR2032 batteries that are used by so many things is great, that everyone should keep spare AA, AAA, and CR2032 batteries in their house. The price is right, so it makes sense to buy five. I have a wireless keyfob in each of our three vehicles, plus I have a home alarm system with multiple sensors powered by CR2032 batteries for a home security system that my wife and I both have. Thus, I have 6 car keyfobs (including the smartkey in my Hyundai Sonata) and at least 6 or more alarm sensors spread It is also common to find this type of battery in garage door openers, but since our opener is relatively new, I haven't had to replace the battery yet. It is evident that these batteries come in handy for me every couple of years, and even though the batteries have a finite shelf life (I bought mine in late 2013, but the expiration date is 2017 on the package), you can have a few that go bad every now and then. In view of the low price, you should buy a couple of packs and keep them in the Because Amazon now requires a minimum purchase to get free shipping, this is a great item to add on to increase your purchase price if you find your total is just a little short of the free shipping requirement.

It works very well. I needed to buy two for those electronic tag finders that you can put on key chains and remote controls. So far, so good. The tag finders came with batteries, and they work just fine, but I think that the item may have been sitting for a while.
Those with cr2025 devices should also find this battery useful since it works with them I bought this to go with my 3 and 5 port HDMI switch remotes they work great and they last a lot longer than regular.
You shouldn't ever buy batteries in the store with the code 2023! You can buy them in larger quantities here at a much lower price. It has been my experience that these batteries are very long lasting, so they are used in most vehicle key fobs. The idea of keeping some handy around the house is a good one.
All of us should probably have a pack of these in our junk drawer or in a battery case somewhere, with our modern key fobs. They were needed for the same reason as many others, my key fob was broken. The batteries I ordered arrived two days later, and my battery charger is back to work!.
