Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
For those with limited range of motion, a dressing stick can help reduce bending at the hip when dressing.
The 36" extra long dressing stick with a 5/8" diameter gives you more reach and length to reach for your clothes and dress yourself.
Large reinforced hook is ideal for those with weak hands or who find it difficult to bend while dressing or undressing.
To pull or push objects, a hip stick can also be used as an extension reacher.
The stick's wooden shaft is lacquered for durability and extended use.

Questions & Answers

When removing compression socks, push on the hook to bend it. Is there any way to fix this?

I'm not sure if this will work, but I'm thinking of using two, one on each side, to reduce the pressure on each hook and make them glide off your leg more evenly. I don't use mine for that, but it's an interesting idea. br>I hope it helps because I understand how difficult dealing with limitations can be. Best wishes to you.

UPDATE: I've given up on trying to get this stick to work
3/5

The wood is so low-cost that it cracks at the end, causing the screw to spin in place. I've just reduced my rating to two stars because this stick has once again proven to be useless. Because the hook easily cracks the end of the wood stick, the screw hole becomes stripped, and the hook simply spins in place, the wood stick must be made of inexpensive wood. It was mostly for putting on my slippers that I used it. My cloth slippers are a size larger than my feet, so I can easily slide my foot inside, but I must turn the slippers over to fully put them on. There is some stress on the hook when I use the hook end to get my foot's heal into the slippers, especially when I turn the heal end of the slipper up over my foot. I believe I am using this stick as intended, but the hook end cracks, strips the wood, and spins in place after only a few months. I've stuffed wooden toothpicks into the stripped hole, filled it with super glue, and twisted the hook back in after the glue had dried both times. To keep the crack from opening, I wrap gorilla tape around the stick's tip. However, this only works for a short time before the wooden dowel splits so badly at the end that the stick becomes useless. I believe that $20 for this stick is excessively high for the quality of the product, and I wish I could find a stronger, longer alternative. I'm 6' 2" and have neuropathy and arthritis, so a longer stick is required. PREVIOUS REVIEW: br>br> This dressing stick is, in general, extremely versatile and practical. Because I have trouble bending, I use the tool to put on pants and shorts by bringing them up high enough on my leg so that I can grab the waistband and pull them up completely with my hands. This brand appeals to me because it is a little longer than others, allowing me to reach further. Without this stick, I wouldn't be able to put on my shoes or slippers. I can grab the slipper, slide my foot inside, and then pull the slipper's back over my heal with the hook end. That's even more difficult when you're using a stick. Pulling the back of the slipper over the heal puts strain on the hook end, and the only disadvantage of this stick is that the metal hook will bend, but it can be bent back into shape easily. The metal part spins and loosens when you use the tool. After several retightenings by hand, the wooden threads inside the hole eventually become stripped, or the wood at the end cracks. I've had to fix the end on several occasions by inserting toothpicks into the end, filling the hole with super glue, and allowing the glue to dry (I usually wait overnight) before screwing the metal hook back into the hole. Small strips of duct tape are also used around the end to keep any cracks in the wood from opening. Despite its flaws and shortcomings, I would recommend this dressing stick to anyone.

It's very adaptable and simple to work with

This is the most amazing gadget I've ever seen. Because I can't bend over due to back surgery, I kept dropping my pants and needed assistance putting them back on. This thing picks them up, places them on my legs, and then pulls my pants up over them. It's fantastic that I can do it myself!.

The extra length is appealing to me. It does not have hooks on both sides, which I dislike. And after the second attempt, the pushing pulling hook began to bend. I primarily use it to put on my shoes and remove my prosthetic leg. I'll have to find a new stick that better suits my requirements.

It can be used for a variety of things
4/5

This dressing stick is very useful for me as a quadriplegic. I don't use it for dressing, but I do use it to reach items on the floor, behind the counter, or up in a cupboard; we're versatile. within reach of reachers I wish they could each add a foot to each other's stature.

screw for a low price Inside the wooden stick, a screw broke off, and there was no way to retrieve or repair it
3/5

I attempted to swap the base cap and the hooked end, but the screw broke in the middle of the process. On the hook end of the spectrum. Why should I spend money on a new Dressing Stick if it will only last two months? One month after we received the order, the window for returning the product closed. What steps do I need to take to get my money back?.
