It's a "wire" that's meant to withstand a lot of abuse. They're quite sturdy; I use the right angle end to hell pull them on by looping it through the loop on the heel of my sneakers; it works great and the metal doesn't bend or twist. I strongly advise you to use this useful tool.
The hook has a rounded tip. If the hole in the zipper is large enough, this will work perfectly. This dressing stick comes highly recommended; give it a try.

I keep a few dressing sticks around my house because they are useful for a variety of reasons, especially for someone who is disabled. What sets this one apart is that it is a little longer, allowing it to be broken down for use in a car or bag, and it has an L hook with a knob on the end, which is much better for putting on shoes and hanging things like lights, bird feeders, and clothes. This is a high-quality item as well.
With a few tweaks, it'll be an excellent tool. To avoid snagging your clothes, use a metal nail file to smooth out the rough metal parts. To keep the washer from falling off the end of the wooden pole (to which it is sort of attached), use super glue. Finally, lubricate the screw end of the wooden pole with mineral oil (it's a bit rough). The dressing stick will be perfect after these adjustments!.
This is an excellent tool. My husband is now capable of removing his own shirt and socks without assistance. We also discovered that he can use the tool to assist him in putting on shoes that become "squashed" under his heel. This is a fantastic tool that can be used in a variety of ways.
After hip surgery, I purchased this stick to aid in dressing. It served its purpose well, and I am pleased with it. It even served as a back scratcher on a few occasions.
In comparison to some of the Chinese-made dressing stick products, I really like the finish and quality. Purchasing from this company is well worth the money. A family-owned business that cares. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
I've only had my Ensolife dressing stick for a couple of days, but I'm already hooked! I've had back problems for a long time, and this aids me in performing simple tasks that used to cause me a lot of pain. I like how you can unscrew it in the middle - it's so convenient. It's small enough to fit into my carry-on. br>The quality is far superior to the competition, and I appreciate the handwritten note encouraging me to support local businesses that came with it. This is something I would strongly suggest.
When I need a dressing stick again, I'll buy this brand. This is fantastic. As a dressing stick, it's ideal. I like that you can disassemble it and pack it in your overnight bag. This was extremely useful on my most recent trip. I'm thinking about getting another one just in case something goes wrong. There aren't enough good things to say about this device.
