Questions & Answers

Does it come in a ?

however, it was a few years ago when I bought mine. The shoes are great for shin splints and many other things. You must also pay attention to where you place them when you wear them. After the police academy began two months ago they really began to get into it. The pavement was getting cold, and I might not want to run so long on it. Whatever the case might be, I would like to express my gratitude to the company for getting me through those tough times. Hope you have a good day

Will it still work for me if I have a shin splint worn a little higher than it appears in the pictures?

Depending on your needs and preferences, it can be worn higher, if you choose to do so. In any case, that image is not right. It should be higher.

Do the instructions come with it?

The straps are adjustable with Velcro, so it is easy to put on.

It is not possible to note the size. Can this be used for legs that are longer?

Despite having huge calves, the boots fit perfectly without being overly tight. The only way you can wear this is if you have tree trunk legs.

This didn't appear to be a good idea
5/5

That I was able to get this wrap to work for me amazes By the time I returned from my job, I had severe shin splints that would be throbbing by the time I got back to the hotel. I believe it was around half a mile at best. This wrap worked I tightened or loosened it based on comfort level, but, as you wear it and get used to it, you will know when to do so. In a few days, I managed to resolve my terrible shin splint issue.

Is there any way that you can prevent "Peroneal Brevis" Tendon Injuries from occurring? There is only one brace that I am aware of that has a vertical band that protects your shin from injuries and tendons from being torn apart
3/5

There has been a problem with my tendons on the outside of my fibula (Peroneal Tendons). Because of the roads I run on and the paths I walk on, these tendon pull away from the bone. The heat from this brace and the reaction of my skin to the neoprene has caused me to suffer intense rashes and even bacterial infections since I started wearing this brace. My concern is that more rubber is present in the brace than we are told. In the past, I have been on oral antibiotics and I have used miconazole cream at 2% strength, but I still have issues even with a sleeve underneath. This is not to say that it does not possess its own advantages, however, I am concerned with the fact that I am very sensitive to it. In my opinion, it would be best to use an A&A Vaseline like salve can be applied between the skin and a sleeve while the wrap is placed over it, but even that might The neoprene or latex allergy or skin sensitivity that I have experienced was called "contact dermatitis", and that is what I know about many people. I would like to thank ProTec for making this brace however, the material may need to be refined in order not to include as much rubber or elastic material that allows the skin to be sensitive in hot and friction conditions.

The wraps keep your shin splints in place for a long time
5/5

In my position as a Police Academy cadet, I am required to run, sprint, and undertake tactical training exercises. Within a month of commencing my yearlong program, I became afflicted by shin splints, and they were severe (I've now entered fact, my doctor said I should not run at all for one month, but unfortunately, because I could not run without being punished by being kicked out of the academy, I had to use compression wraps that worked well. When I ordered these, I had them shipped overnight, which actually took longer than just Besides, the products are great, I couldn't think of a way to make them better, plus it's easy for us to change out and out of them quickly since we get seven minutes between taking a (mandatory) shower and changing into our inspection uniforms. In addition, their compression splint (inside the front of the wraps) that lies over the main muscle in the lower leg really helps to reduce the risk of further injury as well as healing the separated muscle while they are being used. I have not had the experience of them slipping down, as some others have claimed. There is only one in the package, so order two if you need This is a wonderful product! It would be easy for me to recommend them to friends.

In Monterey, it is all seamless
5/5

Truth be told, I need to be honest. It has been a few months since I have been suffering from horrible, painful shinsplints during my running, and I was skeptical about any treatment that may help. As soon as I started running again, I noticed the pain returns. I've followed medical advice, taken time to rest, replaced shoes, iced, but it still doesn't help. Various products were previously available to provide support when I ran into this miracle product. I've been wearing the compression wrap almost every day for the past few weeks and I've found it extremely effective. I like it because it's easy to use, comfortable, easy to adjust, it doesn't move, and it takes care of my pain. It's a great book I recommend.

I am pleased with this product

Each individual needs to determine their Buying this for my teenage son to help alleviate shin splints. Regardless of how hard lacrosse practices got, the brace stayed in place and was fairly comfortable. Here's what he had to say about its efficacy I know if I'm suffering a flare-up if On the inside of my shins, I find it really helpful to have the padded area. The problem is that if it doesn't hurt that much to begin with, it really is Making it worse makes it hurt even In other words, what I do not understand In the medical community, this is a good option for treating shinsplints, but it is not a long-term solution A preventative measure that will last a long time.

The only thing left to say is that they are effective! For my son, I bought these
5/5

In fact, he has had shin splints and stress fractures for quite some time now, even though he runs track and plays field. Just bought these as a "what the heck can it hurt" kind of thing, and he said he has no pain now most of the time. It wasn't unusual for him to wear these every day no matter what for the first month, but now he wears them only when he runs. Best.

what it is supposed to do
5/5

A compression wrap for shin splints that works as advertised and as intended. As a result of running for a number of years, I developed a severe case. It took me a few weeks of rest and the compression straps to get back to my It is not possible to cure irritated muscles and tendons with miracles, as the only fully effective treatment is to take Using the compression wrap, you can get pain relief when you walk and support during the return to activity period. In the case of severely irritated shins, you might not be able to run.

It may be necessary to try it in different spots until you find one that works for you
5/5

My left leg was the worse one, and I bought one to try and it helped me. I had bad shin splints on both legs, but I try this and it helps. It took me some time to find the right position, but once I found it, I wore it all day long and tried it in different places. Since then, I purchased another one and also used ice packs and a muscle roller to address them, and now my shin splints are gone because I iced them and stretched them, as well as massaged them with the muscle roller.
