Questions & Answers

What is the life expectancy of a reusable cold/hot pack?

I've only used it as a cold pack for 20 minutes at a time, which is the amount of time my doctor recommends. For the entire 20 minutes, it was extremely cold. I returned it to the freezer and took it out an hour later for another 20 minutes, and it remained as cold as before.

I'm looking for a way to ice my achilles tendon, which is located at the back of my heel - Is this something that will help you with that?

This pack is going to be fantastic. It's what I use to keep my knees cool. Even when I'm walking, you can wrap it around me and it will stay in place.

Is there any latex in this product?

The wrap is labeled as having latex in it on the packaging. I usually have a latex reaction, but I haven't had one with this product.

Is there a limit to how many times the ice/cold back can be used?

It appears to be a lot more durable than it appears to be. I've used mine at least ten times and it still looks brand new. I don't see why, if used properly and not abused, it shouldn't last indefinitely. I believe it was a wise investment because it keeps the heat or cold close to where you want it.

I'm really happy I came across this
5/5

I've never liked an ice pack as much as this one. After someone at work stole mine, I couldn't find it anywhere, so I was overjoyed when I discovered it on Amazon. Despite the fact that I am 26 years old and have had multiple knee surgeries, I continue to exercise regularly. I'm a very active person, and this has always been my go-to outfit. for at least the past ten years Mueller continues to provide excellent service. When frozen, it does not become hard. The flex wrap is incredibly relaxing to wear. If you need to get up for something, it stays in place well. It's also a budget-friendly option. Simply place it in your shopping cart, dude.

Cold Wrap on a Budget I've been very happy with the Muller cold wrap I've been using for the past two months
4/5

It includes a removable cold pack that can be frozen or boiled. I've never had to boil it to get it to heat up. The pack is made up of basic food-related materials. Later on, I'll go over service packaging in greater depth. The ice pack is held in a sleeve with two sides. br>br> Velcro adheres to the entire back(sic?). The other side is a fine net that allows for good heat transfer from the ice pack while also being soft enough to be comfortable against the skin. Another velcro strip is used to close the sleeve. br>br>The white wrap is made of nylon, allowing for a snug fit around the icing area. It can also be attached with Velcro. It is extremely useful. br>br>Overall, the Muller Cold/Hot pack is a very useful product, but for one reason, I can't give it five stars. The stitching between the two sides of the sleeve is not very strong, so I expect this product to wear out quickly. Food-grade ice is used in the pack. The white wrap portion of the service packing material is already fraying from repeated velcro wear, and it feels like it could leek at any time. br>br>I'm happy to put up with these flaws in exchange for the low price I paid ($11). 95). This product is great for the occasional injury, but if you need an icepack for a long period of time, you might want to look for a higher-quality product (or just buy two of these!). )br>br>*UPDATE: *UPDATE: *UPDATE: *UPDATE: *UPDATE: *UPDATE 11/7/2013 - One Year Later
I've had this pack for about 16 months and it's still running smoothly. I feel compelled to retract my remarks about it being "not built to last," because I had no basis for those assertions other than my suspicions. I still use the pack every two weeks or so and have had no issues. The white strap does fray due to the velcro, but this is purely an aesthetic issue. It hasn't had any negative consequences. br>br>Overall, a year later, I'm still happy!.

After ORIF Surgery, this is the ideal ice pack
5/5

I was having trouble with regular ice packs for my ankle and knee when I discovered this. Given the price, I was skeptical, but it wasn't much of a risk, so I gave them a shot. br>br>These were exactly what I had hoped the Doctor would order! br>br>This ice pack's flexibility and Velcro allow it to be wrapped around the ankle and knee easily and comfortably. Even when completely frozen, the "ice" can be kneaded back into a soft enough state to wrap around the ankle. The only gripe I have is the time it takes to get the ice pack cold. This is probably a byproduct of whatever material was used to keep the pack from turning into a frozen rock. Given the low cost, I was able to get around this issue by ordering a second set, allowing me to have a pair on hand whenever I needed them.

Very relaxing
5/5

This is fantastic! These are, without a doubt, the most comfortable. I've never seen ice packs as convenient as these. They were purchased to help with an achilles tendon problem I was having. I've discovered that I can wear them around my ankle as well. Work in the comfort of your own home all day! I don't even realize they're there after a few minutes. I also have an ankle compression sleeve, which I wear most of the time (it's a thick fabric). Then, over the sleeve, put this wrap. This lets just the right amount of cold in. adds a soft barrier beneath the wrap (the wrap is already very soft, so the sleeve's softness isn't required - That's simply how I prefer it. ) I have two of these, so when one of them is no longer cold, I return it to the freezer. Place the other one on top of the first. When one of them is no longer cold, the other is ready to go. These wraps are highly recommended!.

The cold pack is effective and appears to be long-lasting
5/5

Unfortunately, I'm having some issues with ankle pain, and my doctor suggests icing after any activities that irritate it. I bought it to use as a holder for an ice pack on my ankle. It performs admirably in terms of security and comfort. I purchased a second ice pack to spread out the wear and tear and to be able to ice for longer periods of time than one pack can. The pack does remain cold for a long time, and the cold can be uncomfortable at first. To avoid this, I put it on over a thin sock when I first put it on. br>br>I've been using it several times a week for several months and it's still in good condition. It appears to be reasonably long-lasting.

The best deal
5/5

Simple to work with. THIS IS NOT TO BE MISSED! Simple to work with! It's simple to take out! I placed an order for two to treat my sprained ankle. At bedtime, I wore both of them. Ice packs were placed on the top and bottom of the ankles, respectively. It takes 20 minutes for them to become cold again. It worked perfectly! With them on, I could go for a walk. br>I also ordered others, which were extremely expensive but had to be returned due to their impossibility. This low-cost stretch velco wrap was exactly what I was looking for. I keep the cold pack in the sleeve and place it in the freezer after folding the band around it. Put on after taking it out of the freezer.

Perfect for Post-Operative Care - Surgery on the Knee After arthroscopic knee surgery, I was instructed to ice my knee continuously throughout the day
5/5

The hospital was pushing an expensive cold therapy machine, but the nurses said it was unnecessary and that ice packs would suffice, which was not only correct, but also much less expensive than paying $100-$200 for a cold therapy machine. I spent $200 on the machine and four ice packs (two wraps and two additional ice packs). I couldn't believe how simple and convenient it was to ice my knee with these wraps. I didn't have to be concerned about the ice packs slipping off, and I was able to get up and hobble to the restroom without hesitation. I did this for two weeks, and the wraps are still in good shape. I would strongly suggest it.
