If you threw away your lock instructions and are looking through the reviews for help, here is what you need to know. I am going to tell you how it works. You release both zippers from the lock at the same time by pressing on the side buttons. Then, you have to press down the reset button on the top of the lock to restore the lock to its original position. Then, when you have set the code you are looking for, simply press the release button again. The keyhole in this lock serves no purpose other than to admit that it's a TSA lock and that a TSA officer can get into your bag with a key that they have. PSA.
This material is easy to cut and has cheap zippers that are super easy to break off (the zippers don't rust) but has no smell to it, and cannot be searched unless a search warrant is obtained, even if it is inside the car.
A hole has already emerged where the Velcro was located on this bag. This was a very disappointing experience. The bag has been my favorite for the past 2 months since I got it, so I hope the company will know that. Having a bag like this makes my day!
