While the term "biodegradable" is technically correct for this product, it should not be interpreted as "compostable. " This item is primarily made of plastic with a chemical additive that aids in its breakdown in a landfill. I prefer compostable options, and I'm still on the lookout for a cost-effective alternative. It should be noted that this item is manufactured in China.

Great! It's convenient without the plastic guilt

I like these a lot. They are sturdy spoons that do not easily break. Furthermore, they do not appear to be biodegradable as you use them. But they are, thankfully. So, not only do I not have to worry about lugging silverware around and dragging it home, nor do I have to worry about sending it to school with the kids and wondering if it will be returned, but I also don't have to feel guilty about adding to the landfill. br>br>Because this is a large box, it lasts a long time, but when it runs out, I order another one. Since I found these, I haven't used anything else. br>br>They also produce forks!.

No chemicals, but a strong, safe spoon! When my family makes oatmeal or hot liquids, they use a lot of spoons, and it makes me nervous (and guilty) to wonder what chemicals they might be exposed to

When I ran out of these, I decided to replace them with a "prettier" box of silver coated spoons. I'm not going to make that mistake again! The spray painted spoons smelled like chemicals right out of the box, and I could literally taste the chemicals when I tried to eat cold cereal. I simply do not want to risk using cheap plastic silverware when it comes to consumables. Knowing exactly what my spoons are made of gives me peace of mind when it comes to unknown chemicals coming into contact with hot liquids. Thank you so much for making a wonderful, safe spoon that can withstand daily use.

So Much Stronger Than Other Brands, Won't Melt or Break, and Is Good For The Environment

We've been using these as our everyday silverware for the past two years. They have a lot of strength and durability. I frequently use the knives to cut tough foods and don't believe there is much of a difference between them and regular metal table knives. In a hot soup, these will not melt or soften. I use them in soup several times a week, and the spoons never soften, even when the soup is too hot to eat. I've never had one of them break while I was using it! They also don't flex or bend like regular plastic silverware.

Dispose of the silverware once more! Spoons that are biodegradable! That is the only reason why my ultra-violet-sensitive eco- I'll be able to buy throw-away clothes because I have a nice family. silverware should be put away. Simply avoid using them in extremely hot soups or coffees, as they may deform. However, if the soup or coffee is extremely hot, your mouth will also become deformed (blistered).

We don't always throw them away; sometimes we wash and reuse them, but a box lasts us about 5 months or a little longer, and we are a family of five.

So plastic spoons are pretty boring, except when they're flimsy or too small, etc. These may cost a little more than others, and according to what I've read, they're not nearly as biodegradable as the packaging would have you believe: (br>br>However, these are good-sized spoons that are well-made. ) I bought them for our office, and so far, no one has complained, so that's a good sign. To tell you the truth, I was so taken with them that I ordered a box of their forks. I'm hoping they're on par with the spoons.
