I purchased a new guest bathroom fixture that had four light sockets and required maximum 60W bulbs with an E-26 base. Base for 12 (candelabra). The room was extremely dim, so I purchased bulbs from Home Depot that met the specifications. With that little light, no one would be able to do their makeup or see anything in the mirror. Then I remembered something a long time ago that a coworker had told me. The LUMENS, not the WATTS, are used to measure the amount of light emitted by a bulb. The bulbs I bought from Home Depot had a lumen rating of 420. 960 lumens are produced by the Bulbrite KX60FR bulbs. That's nearly THREE TIMES the amount of light this tiny little bulb produces. When my husband first saw the package, he laughed at me, but once we got them inside, he was blown away. With such a low wattage, it really brightens up the bathroom. The bulbs are rated for 3,000 hours of use, so I don't expect to have to replace them for a long time. 00 for a 4-piece set The value of the pack is actually quite high. ***As an aside: There are two things you should be aware of. 1) Always wear gloves or use a paper towel when working with LED or halogen bulbs. The oils on your skin (even if you've washed) will cause the bulb to short out more quickly. Don't take a chance with your money! Keep your bulbs alive for as long as possible. 2) Lumens of the same size vs. lumens of a different size When it comes to flashlights, the watts principle applies, so choose the one with the highest lumens! The amount of light will astound you. Good luck with your bulb hunt!.
It lasted over 6 months in a dining room/living room, where it was used every evening. This bulb is the simplest and, in some cases, the only way to increase the amount of light in a standard ceiling fixture. affix the fixture It was useful to have the second bulb on hand.
