You mean the flex able extension on your drill, aren't you? They can be found on Amazon. You can find it by typing in Flexible Extension Screwdriver Bit under Tools.
It is likely the manufacturer will let you know if you contact them. According to my understanding, parts are not available, but given the relatively low price of the entire package, I would simply buy a new set if I wanted a longer length or needed a replacement. It is my regret if this does not assist you in any way. As a result, I cleaned out my vent and found this to be a very useful tool.
Neither side would have a problem with using it. It might work if you do it from the inside. But then will the dust go outside.
If you have the correct threaded couplings, you may be able to do so. An advantage of this product design is that it comes with a drill bit attachment, which is not present in other products. You ought to consult with the seller before purchasing if you intend on extending the length beyond 20 feet.
Selected User Reviews For Dryer Vent Cleaner Kit -(20-Feet) Innovative Lint Remover Reusable Strong Nylon| Flexible Lint Brush with Drill Attachment for Faster Cleaning
I found the interface to be user-friendly. My one mistake was screwing the pieces together too tight, making them impossible to separate. Once we started looking in the dryer vent, we discovered a bird nest. We are so glad we discovered this before a fire broke out.
The amount of accumulated lint I was able to remove with ease shocked me- Commercial services remove much more dirt than I did with my previous brush kit, and I have removed far more dirt than with a commercial service. One of the things that sets this item apart from other products is its drill bit attachment. The reviewers who have reviewed this book have noted one caveat It is important that you DO NOT reverse your drill because the rods can become detached and leave a piece of the rod/brush in the.
During my stay, I had the same experience as the two other 1 stars reviews Vents in my house come down the wall at a 90 degree angle. That turn cannot be made with that tool and the brush is too large to be handled with that tool. After it broke off into my vent, I now have a brush and three pieces of rod in my vent, so I have to pay a pro to retrieve it, and I also have to clean the duct. I'll return it once I retrieve the brush and everything out of the vent!.
In the first place, I don't write reviews. I have been with Amazon for 13 years so it is quite unusual for me to feel compelled to do this review. The second thing is that this thing is awesome, and if you don't go crazy with your drill it will work. After 20 feet and about five passes of the machine, the lint buildup of 20 years has been removed. This is a really great.
This little cleaning kit has already proved its worth. We had to wait a long time for our dryer to dry clothes due to clogged vent tubes. It was very easy to remove the exterior vent cover for my dryer and lint was flying out of the vent My task now is to clean up the mess. Although the house fire evaded me.
I've never seen anything like this! There is a vent that goes through the attic to an open roof, thus making it difficult to clean my dryer that is located on the 2nd floor. I began manually feeding the brush and rods in the vent (without using a drill) as other reviewers described. I was afraid of snapping the rods in the vent. While I was delighted when lint started falling, I was no longer able to move the brush forward. As soon as my husband hooked it up to the drill, the lint began falling like a torrent! In either case (or both), we fed all 20 feet of rod into the vents by passing a 90-degree turn or a blockage. Because there was so much lint coming out, we took the team approach- Two people are working on this project. One is running the drill, and the other is vacuuming up all the lint. There is no need to refill my shop vac! Our vent is over 20 feet long, so I did as others recommended and used the leaf blower to blow the rest of the lint (hopefully) up to the rooftop. I have improved the performance of the dryer. In order to keep the vent clear, I plan to do it on a regular basis. The rods did not snap off in the vent, which was a blessing. According to the advertisement, everything worked. This product was a good fit for me based on this use alone.
Depending on your setup, this may or may not be effective. When there are more bends, snakes have a more difficult time getting The flexibility or even semi-flexibility of your schedule may not be possible I am not a fan of rigid duct segments. In most cases, attachments are made out of metallic duct tape, and the force of snaking this device in can separate the joints. Though it does work quite well. My sweater was full of lint so I snaked it out. Then I repeated it three times or until I was left with no lint. It's pretty important to have the drill attachment, but be careful not to get carried away. To separate the ends of the nylon rods, you'll need a couple of pliers. Rods have a pretty long lifespan, but can be bent or damaged if overused Striking drills with a lot of aggression I would set it to low torque if at all possible. My end result required snaking it both ends and in addition, I found a seam that came from the middle of the vent (in my basement) and snaked it there as well. Quite a bit of lint in general. Though it made me think about getting a booster fan for the dryer, the dryer works better now.
I knew it was past time to clean the dryer vent after seeing lint come out of it some 30 feet from the dryer. The hardest part of this project was removing the cover from the outside vent, but after that it became easy. The nylon shafts screwed together very firmly, they bent around corners easily, and they pulled out quite a bit of lint. We now feel much safer and would recommend it to friends. The product is well built and looks like it will last. We will see if the dryer takes less time now to dry the clothes.
