How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
12 TRAPS and 12 TIES INCLUDED: This set includes 12 traps and 12 clamps / ties. Each trap functions as a lint collector and remover.
NO NEED TO DOUBLE UP: Some companies sell inexpensive traps or lint socks, but you must use TWO traps or socks at the same time. Lint is best caught through the small mesh holes in the Big Kitchen Sink traps. These lint traps for washing machines are built to last.
QUALITY: Because they are made of stainless steel, these Washing Machine Lint Traps will not rust or fall apart.
The traps are designed to work with a washing machine hose that drains into a laundry room sink. These traps should not be used with stand-pipe drains or pipes that run through the wall.
GUARANTEE: Your money will be returned if you are not satisfied with your purchase. You may request a full refund if you are unhappy with the lint traps / screens.

Questions & Answers

Which is better: aluminum or steel?

After a week, mine had rusted out. Look for Aluminum mesh if you want something that won't rust. These stainless steel ones are a waste of money.

After a wash, how saturated are these filters? We're concerned about the filter dripping because we won't be leaving the hose in the sink. ?

The purpose of these filters is to catch lint that has absorbed moisture and has remained damp for some time. You can, of course, squeeze them after each use to prevent any drips.

How wide does the filter have to be?

It is compatible with any standard washing machine discharge hose. If necessary, the tie fasteners allow for a tighter fit, and the wire mesh construction will give a little. I hope this information is useful.

Is it possible to use these for a pipe drain rather than a sink drain?

No, they're only for drains that lead to a sink. Sorry, but these lint traps, as well as any other trap that looks similar to them, will not work on drains that lead to a pipe.

Selected User Reviews For 12 Pack of Washing Machine Lint Traps. Comes with 12 Ties. Attach to Your Washer Sink Hose and Allow the Metal Mesh Trap to Filter the Laundry Water. Stainless Steel and Rust Proof.

I am overjoyed! I waited a long time to write a review for this product because these lint traps have proven to be 1
5/5

2. It is simple to use 3. long-lasting Lint trapping is extremely effective! When I read the reviews, I'm struck by how many customers thought these were a great product, while others were extremely disappointed. I'm curious if the people who had these rusted out had them sitting in moisture between loads of laundry - Mine dry out because they are hung well above the sink's bottom. At least one person claimed that the trap sprayed water all over the place. That happened to me once as well, because I failed to keep track of how full the lint trap was getting and replace it when it was full. The only disadvantage of these traps, as others have stated, is that they trap lint so well that you must replace them more frequently than lower-quality traps. That is an excellent problem to have!.

BUYING IS A MISTAKE - Rusts and Tears are two words that come to mind when thinking about rusts and tears
3/5

These were purchased to replace the end of the hose on my washing machine. Only three loads of laundry later, it was rusted. For a product that is literally designed to get wet, this is ridiculous. The rust caused the lint "trap" to tear open, allowing lint to flow freely. My utility sink was also covered in rust stains. This item was even worse- and created a bigger shambles- Using no lint trap at all is preferable to not using one at all. br>br>I'd give it a 0 out of 5 star rating.

Lint- machines for grabbing! I'm convinced these traps are made with alien technology
5/5

We've tried a few different lint traps for our basement washing machine drain line, and these are by far the most effective; the flow has not slowed since we've been using them (at least a year now?). )br>br>My only "gripe" is that I have to change them more frequently than I have in the past- This clearly indicates that they are doing a better job by catching a lot more of the fine materials that others may have let through. br>br>Strongly suggested. br>br>.

When compared to local purchases, the quality is very poor
3/5

I used to buy these at the supermarket or hardware store, nothing fancy, just whatever was on the shelf at the time. They are normally sold in pairs. 3 packs. I thought I was saving money by purchasing these in bulk. br>br>These don't last nearly as long as the store-bought version. Because I never thought about it until the floor was wet, I used them until they were so clogged that water would shoot out the top! There's no danger of that with these; they rust out before clogging, and holes rip in them, allowing lint to flow down your drain. This has happened to two traps in a row, and it takes only a month or two for it to happen again. br>br>These are not something I would buy again! The upgraded 'adjustable' zip ties are the only thing I like because I don't have to look for any tools to cut the old one off when it's time to replace it. As a result, I gave it a star.

I was buying washing machine lint socks from Home Depot, but they were flimsy and the lint would filter right through them, so I gave them 5 stars for quality, rustproof, and price
5/5

These lint screens get five stars from me because they are:
- I don't need to double them up because they're so heavy. br>- You don't want to be un-rustproof if you can help it. attaching an obnoxious lint and rust-filled filterbr>- Budget-friendly! These lint filters cost half as much as those sold at the hardware store.

Simple to put on and take off
5/5

I've had these for over a year and am very pleased with them. I haven't had any rust issues or rips at all. Yes, the mesh appears to be too loose to trap lint, but it actually does. To be sure, I double them up, which makes things even better. However, this does not imply that you go through them twice as quickly: when the traps are about 3/4 full, I slide the two traps off the hose together and pull the inner (almost full) trap out, separating the two. I then reattached the outer one to the hose (which had very little lint) and covered it with a new, second one. This doubles the protection while not depleting the package's capacity! I'd buy them again without a doubt. br>Here's a review from when I first bought this product:br>This is the first time I've used one of these, so I don't know what to compare it to. The plumber cleaned out a lot of goo from my sump pump and advised me to use a lint filter after it nearly died. So I chose these because they have plastic ties with a mechanism that snaps open and closes, allowing you to reuse them rather than throwing them away once the filter is replaced. Also, the metal filter is closed at the bottom (I assumed that all metal filters were closed at the bottom; otherwise, what's the point?). Other products, however, had bottom openings that allowed lint to pass through and out of the filter, according to customer reviews. Anyway, today was my first day of laundry with this product, and while it is catching some lint, I'm surprised it isn't catching more. Because I'm washing mostly old clothes and towels, I'm not sure how much lint I'm producing. But, so far, everything has gone well. There will be no issues.

Rubbish ad nauseam - In a matter of days, the rust starts to appear! We used to buy lint traps from the grocery store before discovering these on Amazon
3/5

The problem was that they only came in two-packs, and we frequently ran out of them, so we decided to look for them in bulk. br>br>I was duped into buying these because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. br>br>While they "appear" to be the same when viewed closely, they are NOT the same as higher-quality versions. These filters literally rust through in a matter of days, often on the backside or bottom, where they are not visible. To put it another way, once a hole has rusted through, the purpose is lost forever. br>br>I thought it was a fluke, but every time I take the old one out of the washer hose, it's completely covered in rust and has gaping holes. We never had this problem with the store-bought brand, so I can't put it down to our water or pipes - These are only the sub- filtering paris br>br>These are simple to put together and come with plenty of heavy-duty zip ties to keep them in place. But they're practically useless, and I'm not going to buy any more of them. If you're looking for a good deal, keep in mind that caveat empt.
