Questions & Answers

Does this soap have antibacterial properties?

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been looking into whether or not all "anti-doping" products should be banned. Because it is such a deceptive product line, try a bleach rinse if you have members of your household with immuno disorders. br>br>The only thing that can be used instead of soap and water is soap and water with a bleach rinse.

Is it safe to put this in the dishwasher?

Mrs. Meyer's automatic DISH PACKS, designed specifically for automatic dishwashers, are available on Amazon.

Is there a multi-surface cleaner with a peony scent?

Yes - It works well, but it has an unusual odor.

Is the scent of Mrs. Meyers' lavender everyday countertop spray similar to that of the lavender dish soap?

That's correct. It looks a lot alike. The layering is quite lingering and delicious smelling when using more than one MM same scent. br>At the moment, I'm using the lavender dish soap as a hand soap in the bathrooms (diluted in foam pump bottles), as well as the lavender bathroom cleaner and counter top spray. It's really beautiful!

This product has the potential to harm your eyes! I accidentally got soap in my eye while doing the dishes
3/5

After attempting to wash it off for several hours, I was referred to an emergency room, where I was informed that the chemicals in this product had caused corneal burn. I ended up with an injured eye and a massive medical bill as a result of using this product. Please be cautious as there are no warnings or safety instructions on the packaging!.

The Most Effective Soap For Cutting Through Grease EWG Health/Environmental Ratings are low
3/5

Meyer's Honeysuckle Clean Day Dish Soap smells wonderful and doesn't irritate my allergies. The soap cuts through grease better than other brands I've used in the past, like Method. It's also simple to get rid of. Meyer's is concentrated, so a small amount goes a long way, and the bottles last a long time. I bought this pack about a year ago and there are still a few bottles left. We use a dishwasher, but we hand wash pots and pans and prewash our dishes, so the six bottles should last us at least a year in our house. br>br>On the down side, EWG has assigned "D" ratings to the last four formulations, and the ingredients are nearly identical to the last rated formulation. The fragrance rating on Meyer's dish soap is still "D" (irritation). Methylisothiazolinone (acute aquatic toxicity), PEG 5 cocoate (cancer, irritation, and eye damage), and PEG 5 cocoate (cancer, irritation, and eye damage). SLS, polysorbate 20, lauramine oxide, tetrasodium glutamate diacetate, and other "C" rated ingredients are still present, as well as others. My most recent purchase of Method dish soap has an EWG rating of "D. " For performance, I'd give this Meyer's dish soap 5 stars, but I'm docking 2 stars due to EWG's health and environmental concerns. 3 stars.

Artificial Fragrance That Isn't Listed in the Product Description Is a Little Misleading
3/5

The lavender fragrance is the subject of this review. br>br>This product is extremely effective at cleaning. However, I have a different issue with it that makes it a no-go for me. br>br>I am a big fan of natural scents in general. There are some natural ingredients in this product that have their own distinct aromas. Its main aroma, on the other hand, is a) synthetic and b) overwhelming. During the Q In a section right here on Amazon, a Meyers representative claims that artificial "fragrances" are more shelf stable than natural ones. You're free to go look for that Q. In addition, the ingredients listed in this Amazon listing are incomplete. More ingredients, including the culprit, were revealed on the actual bottle. br>br>Artificial is one thing, but it's not the same as real. Otherwise, it's just a tad excessive. br>br>I've always been a snob when it comes to scents. br>br>I recall visiting a friend's house about 20 years ago, and they always had this artificial flowery smell in their kitchen that was very strong. I didn't like going there because I always thought it smelled icky, for lack of a better word, and I never asked what it smelled like. br>br>After all these years, I've finally figured out what that smell was. Meyers was a brand new to me. However, due to the pandemic, we were out of soap, and I came across a deal for 6 bottles of lavender at a great price. So I decided to make a deal! Sadly, this is incorrect. br>br> To my dismay, the smell I'd forgotten about turned out to be Meyers, and I now own six bottles. I thought to myself as I opened the first bottle, "Wow, that's strange. " This is a familiar odor to me. br>br>After washing the vegetables, I re-sealed the bottle and am offering all six to any of my neighbors who are interested. It smells the same in my kitchen even after several hours. br>br>USE THEM ON YOUR FRUIT, NOT YOUR VEGETABLES. It was a bad decision. It took me eight hours to finish the oils and synthetic fragrances. 10 thorough rinsings, plus 2x use of extra strength vinegar at the end to remove the fragrances and make my vegetables edible. In a full 4qt bowl, I only used a small amount of soap. br>br>I can't imagine that this soap, aromatherapy or not, is "good" for you as some may claim. EDIT: br>br> After warning a couple of neighbors, I was able to sell all six bottles ten days after writing the above. However, the sponge I used to scrub my vegetables with still smells like the fragrance after ten days and nights of dishes. I went so far as to use a very strong vinegar and another very strong soap. br>br>Requirements: br>br>Requirements: br>br>Requi I didn't even pour the soap directly onto the sponge the first time I used Meyer's soap. For my vegetables, I simply added a little to 4 quarts of water, mixed it up, and then sponged it. I can't seem to get rid of the odor.

It's a hit with my mom
5/5

These were purchased as gifts for my mother and aunt. It was a hit with them both. It has a pleasant, fresh scent that isn't quite detergent-like, and it doesn't irritate her skin. That is, according to her. She claims it cleans grease and clingy/sticky foods just as well as any other dish soap she's tried. She put it in a pump soap dispenser and it seems to last her a long time; she also expressed gratitude. If you buy this soap for your family or friends, they will thank you as well. Soap that is good.

The artificial cheap perfume smell is overpoweringly strong and persistent
3/5

I thought I'd try something different, but when I opened the bottle to remove the seal, a little soap got on my thumb and forefinger, and a sledgehammer of lavender scent slammed into my poor nose. The main sensory assault was stopped by immediately closing the bottle, placing it in a Ziplock bag, and tossing it in the trash, but the smell lingered on my fingers for hours after I washed them in hot water with my usual unscented dish detergent.

No Scent
5/5

It smelled great the first time I got it. Then, after a long period of being unavailable (following Covid), I was finally able to obtain some. no sent. I decided to give it another go. I have enough sent that when it first comes out, I can barely smell it. I'm not sure if the company is attempting to save money, but I will never purchase this product again. I did place an order for a different sent to see if it would be better. I'm aware that covid causes people to lose their sense of smell, but I'm fine with everything else. This is not the case.

It smells wonderful, but it leaves a lingering taste on the dishes
4/5

With just a drop of liquid, this dish soap smells great and gets the job done well. The reason for the four stars is that it leaves a faint soap taste in cups and bottles even after adequate rinsing and drying time, which isn't what you want when you're expecting a refreshing cup of water.

I've found the best cruelty-free dish soap on the market
5/5

I've had a few bad experiences with cruelty-free dish soap that couldn't even cut through chapstick, let alone grease from a skillet. Thankfully, it's not only cruelty-free, but it's also powerful enough to get the job done. br>br>Also, the fragrance is fantastic! This product makes me much more enthusiastic about doing the dreaded task of hand-washing dishes; I like the other scents as well, but I believe this is my favorite.
