This is my point of view. Finish Quantum Max is something I've been using for a long time. It was, without a doubt, the best dish detergent I'd ever used. I didn't buy what was on sale every time I needed new dish soap; instead, I bought Finish Quantum. Of course, I was drawn to the "new" version, believing that they could improve upon an already excellent detergent. But, unfortunately, this is a complete product failure. br>br>I'm using a modern, higher-grade, and more efficient dish washer from a well-known brand, and this new product doesn't dissolve properly, as evidenced by the plastic coating. Instead of the membrane-coated tablets, the tablets are coated in plastic, which, of course, does not dissolve. similar to what was previously used In addition, the odor is horrifying - I don't mind smelling "clean," but this stuff stinks like hell. Most importantly, they don't work as a dish detergent because they don't dissolve. This means it is a complete failure and receives a single star. br>br>We're literally going to throw away the last 76 or so of these tablets and will never buy them again. Unfortunately, I usually buy dish detergent months before I need it, so I'm past Amazon's return policy. I'm actually considering taking them to a hazmat disposal facility because they stink so bad. br>br>Update for 2019: Finish contacted me and, while they were unable to resolve the issues, they were gracious enough to send me a bottle of Jet Dry (which I also use), which was a nice gesture that encouraged me to investigate further. It appears that some people are satisfied with the product, so it must be possible to make it work. I was able to solve the issues. The first issue has to do with temperature. It is critical to heat your water to a temperature of 130 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. If you're like me and the majority of people, your water tank is set at a more cost-effective 125 degrees when using this product. My washer, thankfully, has a pre-wash cycle. Without this setting, the heat option is unavailable and the detergent will not function properly. The issue is that this significantly increases cycle time and energy consumption, despite the fact that the old Quantum Max did not require it. br>br>The second issue, which took an absurd number of failed test loads to figure out, was that the detergent packet's plastic lip was frequently getting caught on the automatic soap release door as it opened during the cycle. The new formula is gel-like in texture. Finish used two plastic-coated plastic-coated plastic-coated plastic-coated plastic-coated plastic-coated plastic-coated plastic- The membranes are sealed together to form a 1/16" lip. Until the machine was agitated, the packet would frequently fail to release into the machine. During the washing process, water eventually knocked it out. I also discovered that on my machine, the newly-installed software can only be used in one way. The designed packet will fit into the soap dispenser without getting hung up on the release door on a regular basis. br>br>Once I figured out those two things, particularly the latter, I was able to get consistent results with this detergent. I'd almost say the wash is better than the previous formula, which was already excellent. Any gains, on the other hand, can be attributed to the higher temperatures from the pre-winter period. However, there are heat cycles. I have a lot of water and energy bills, so I'm a little annoyed that it took nearly $40 worth of failed washes to figure out why the product didn't work. I'm glad I figured out what was wrong, but I'm not sold on the product because it only worked after a significant investment of money and time on my part. br>br>As for the smell. Even after allowing the bag to air out for months, it still smells terrible. There's no way I'm putting lipstick on that pig. br>br>Update for June 2019: I'm on my second 82-count bag of this, and this one smells a lot better. It now has a "fresh" odor to it. Finish is clearly using some black magic chemical scent engineering to mask whatever scorched earth hazmat level 3 concoction they devised into this product. br>br>My final rating is 4 stars, but I'm going to keep my review critical because it might help others figure out their problems.

The entire kitchen reeked of detergent after only a few minutes. Husband suffers from COPD and is allergic to certain scents - To flush out the Finish powder and additives, quickly turn off and unload dishwasher, then run with clear water. For this reason, I looked into the return policy: I could return the item for a refund of the purchase price minus shipping charges - I paid half the total price and gave the rest away to someone who wasn't bothered by the product's strong odor. 1) Online shopping is best for products that are familiar to you. 2) Brands of essentially the same product type can have significant differences. 3) Consumer Reports should've seen this coming - I'm going to make another comment. Consumers may face serious consequences as a result of this issue - If my husband had used it or been at home when it happened, he would have developed COPD, and because we had been using the other brand of tabs for so long, we would not have suspected it.

I've tried a lot of dishwasher detergents, and this is by far the best. For a long time, I had been using Cascade with mixed results. Quantum cleans will be much more effective if you finish them sooner. The only drawback I can think of is that the packets have a strong and irritating odor. I started coughing and got a headache as soon as I opened the bag. Before loading a pod, I simply double-check that the dishwasher is ready.

I began using this product a few months ago and found it to be quite satisfactory. As a result, I signed up for recurring orders. When I got my second shipment, it was a shambles; things had leaked out, and the entire bag was sticky. I figured it wouldn't be a big deal as long as the little pod worked and was intact, but I discovered one broken pod after another. I discovered a new one today. So, after much deliberation, I decided to take a picture and write a review. Although the product itself is excellent, the packaging may be detrimental.

I used to use Cascade pods, but they left powdery residue on my dishes, so I had to rinse them off all the time. Maybe it's because I have a small dishwasher? I don't know. These pods are the ideal size and don't leave any soap residue or water spots behind. They also got rid of some nasty stuff: Baked-on sauces, stuck cereal, and pop that turns into syrup (all of these have been tried and tested by me). br>br>It's insane, but I needed some of these pods when I placed an Amazon order for Christmas gifts. I usually avoid Amazon for household items because it can be more expensive at times, but being in a wheelchair and without a car, I couldn't go to Walmart anytime soon. What options do I have? So I went online and found them, and I was overjoyed! It's funny how your life changes as you get older; when you were a kid or a teen, you couldn't care less about such things. However, as an adult. WOW! That was my reaction when I first saw these! I was overjoyed! 82 pods! You've got to be kidding! In any case, these are excellent for cutting through and cleaning dishes. They're fantastic!.
