Questions & Answers

On the package I received, why does it say "warning cancer and reproductive harm"?

I took a look at the top of the WoodWorks Beeswax Paste Wood Finish can. I looked on the top, sides, and bottom of the can for any type of warning about cancer or reproductive harm, but there was none. Beeswax was produced by bees, after all.

Is it true that this causes wood to darken? I don't want my unfinished wood table's color to change. ?

Any wax will darken the wood slightly, enhancing the grain and allowing the wood's beauty to shine through.

Which foods are prohibited by Proposition 65? That is not an issue because I know what it is. There's got to be a question about one of the ingredients. ?

Beeswax contains mineral oil, which is regulated by Prop 65.

Is it possible to use this on hard-to-close wooden drawers?

I used to take some petroleum gel and rub it on the sides of the drawers because the bees wax would not stay moist. It had the desired effect.

The end result is stunning
5/5

This fulfills all of the requirements: It's simple to use and it's not harmful to the environment. With a lovely finish, it's toxic. I'm a beginner woodworker who began making wooden toys for our baby. The end result was absolutely stunning. For wooden toys, this is the ideal seal. I'm going to use it for all of my woodworking projects! This is an absolute must-have.

This is an incredible product! In our kitchen, we recently put in walnut countertops
5/5

To protect them from daily use, I applied a beeswax paste to them. It's a DREAM COME TRUE! It applies smoothly, absorbs quickly, and smells incredible. I intend to use it frequently in the future.

It's not particularly slick
5/5

My hardwood floors appear to be beeswax-coated. I couldn't find anything similar to beeswax in any of the stores I visited, so I bought J first. J wax for the floors. However, where I tested it, this resulted in a floor that was both extremely shiny and extremely slippery. So I went out and bought some Beeswax Paste. I waxed the area that I had previously waxed. The beeswax paste blends in with the existing floor finish, isn't slippery, and doesn't collect dirt and grime. It gives the fir floors a golden glow and, as an added bonus, it smells like honey for a short time after you wax.

Just OK
3/5

At the very least, it isn't Chinese junk. However, beekeepers have taught me what AUTHENTIC beewax is. That's not the case at all. Doesn't have the same warmth or heavenly scent. I am not planning on returning. order.

It does exactly what it says
5/5

Easy to apply, provides excellent protection for the wood, and does not leave it greasy or sticky. I used it on some balcony furniture that was made of rough wood, and it brightened the color, smoothed out the texture, and protected it from rain. I was able to wipe the table down with a wet cloth after a few bird encounters, and the wood was clean and protected. As it spreads, it emits a faint honey odor. I'd buy it again if I had the opportunity.

I decided to try a beeswax paste after watching some furniture restoration shows and decided to bring my antique rocker back to life
5/5

It worked wonders on an antique rocking chair's deteriorated wood. The wood was initially dry and dull. Though I could see the wood stain, I don't believe there was any other finish left; the beeswax gave it a nice shine, soaked into the wood, and it looked supple afterward, almost as if I had polyurethaned it with a satin finish. This product met my needs perfectly. I tried it on a piece that was still finished, and it performed just as well as other wood waxes/furniture oils/etc. that I had tried on it. It has performed admirably on the rocker and could be quickly applied if necessary. Would suggest.

Wooden bowls are a great fit
5/5

Wooden bowls are what I do. For me, this product produces a flawless result. A matte to semi-gloss finish. If you need it, it's food safe. Apply 2- 3 times. Each time, apply a thin coat of polish.

Easy to understand It buffs up to a subtle satin sheen, has a mild honey scent, and lasts a long time
5/5

I bought this to treat a two-year-old wooden camp cup, preferring something with wax to the cup's manufacturer's recommendation of simply painting with olive oil. I've included a photo to demonstrate the subtle differences, but the cup was previously very dry and slightly rough to the touch, and after applying two coats (sparingly) of the paste and buffing after an hour, the cup is much nicer to handle. I'll probably add one or two more coats, but it's already looking pretty good after two. It's simple to apply, especially with the warmth of your hands and the use of a thin cloth to spread the paste around.
