Please accept my apologies for falling for yet another stainless cleaner: (Every stainless steel spray cleaner/polisher I've tried has failed me. ) I find that using one soft cloth and hot soapy water, then drying/buffing with another clean dry soft cloth works best for me. These products must be applied to the entire appliance when they are used. So, if it's your refrigerator, you'll have to clean it from top to bottom - A dirty area cannot be spot cleaned because it will be visible. When you've finished the appliance and your child or husband comes along and leaves a couple of fingerprints on it, you CANNOT simply wipe them away because the cleaner/polish will be wiped away, leaving a spot that looks just as bad as the fingerprints. You will be unable to spot clean anywhere after using this product. The entire appliance will need to be cleaned. If you don't have a child or a husband, this product might be a good fit for you. Otherwise, I'm going to give it a two-thumbs-down rating. Yes, it looks nice after you've finished the entire appliance, but the niceness ends there. Sorry: (If anyone has any tips on how to use this stuff (yes, I've read the instructions), please share. ) I'm always up for picking up new skills. Thanks. I hope you found this information useful.
However, take care. You'll love this product if you're using window cleaner to clean your stainless steel and getting streaky results like I did. It's sprayed directly onto a stainless surface and wiped in with a soft cloth. After that, a quick buffing with a microfiber cloth restores the appearance of the surface. However, I discovered that buffing was not always necessary. YMMV. It is critical to use enough product to spread evenly without gaps in order to achieve a uniform appearance. Observing from a different perspective and with different lighting will aid in the discovery of any areas that have been overlooked. br>br>The product is essentially a sprayable mineral oil that removes fingerprints and other materials from stainless steel surfaces while also creating a very thin coating that is more fingerprint resistant than bare metal. I found it to be far easier to use (and far less expensive) than the stainless steel wipes that Weiman (and probably others) also sell. br>br>When using this product, keep in mind that because it's an oil that's sprayed, some of the oil droplets will most likely end up on your kitchen floor, creating a very slippery surface. Before using the product, use newspaper to cover the floor in front of the refrigerator, dishwasher, or whatever. Alternatively, rubbing alcohol on a clean cloth can be used to clean the floor. br>br>For the money, it's a good product. However, take care when using.
However, following the instructions is not an easy task. I recently purchased a new stainless refrigerator, and this was purchased specifically for it. After a few days, there were a few areas that needed attention. Unfortunately, this isn't a "touch-and-go" situation. I realized I needed to clean the entire fridge to make it look uniform after cleaning just a small area. Furthermore, it is not a one-rag process. It should be wiped with one rag first, then dried with a second dry rag (I only use microfiber). br>br>I was hoping for something a little more user-friendly. It will take some effort. Every other day, I polish my Harley (which I enjoy doing). The fridge, on the other hand, is trudgery after an evening spent polishing my bike. It is extremely inconvenient. Stainless steel was probably something I should have avoided. It's all part of the learning process, I suppose.
Every day, three kids touch, smear, and destroy our refrigerator, so it was put to the test. Normally, we just wipe it down with glass cleaner, but this can leave streaks or fail to cut through more "sticky" prints. It appeared smooth and almost glossy, and all of their fingerprints were completely removed. Because all of our appliances are stainless steel and get messed up by kids on a daily basis, it's a futile exercise, but it looks amazing in the time between wiping them down and someone needing to put two hands and a foot print on the fridge/dishwasher to open it up.
This product is the answer: first, wash any heavily soiled item with a soapy sponge (Lysols work best), then spray on Weimans and wipe off (I use paper towels). This product can be used on both black and white surfaces. This is a must-have piece of equipment.
I wish it had a fingerprint-scanning feature. It's covered in proof film. But that's just wishful thinking on the part of a mother of two small children. )br>br>Every single one of our appliances (fridge, oven/stove, microwave, and dishwasher. I use this on all of them, including our toaster, because they are stainless steel. The refrigerator is the most difficult to keep clean, which makes sense given its large surface area. However, as I previously stated, it has a shinier finish that does not repel fingerprints. I'd spend a few hundred dollars more on a fridge with a matte/fingerprint-resistant finish if I could go back in time. This is something I use once a week, and a bottle lasts us about two weeks. 3 months. Instead of spraying it directly on the appliances, I usually spray it on a microfiber cloth, which reduces overspray significantly. br>br>I hope this information is useful!.
It's terrible - It leaves streaks on my refrigerator, and I tried buffing it out, but it still left streaks. There is too much work to be done. Wouldn't you allow me to return this item? I put it to the test the same day I received it. I'm a cleaning nut who's been let down by the experience. Update: I was reading other emails about cleaners when I came across one that mentioned Pledge Multi Surface Cleaner, so I decided to give it a shot. It does the job and gets rid of the streaks that Weiman left behind. Try it. YEA!.
