We produce the raw material in Europe, but we finish and print it
The reason for this is the manufacturing process of the wood pulp cellulose / cotton binding in Europe, where the raw material is manufactured. Because raw material is shipped via sea freight, the containers in which it is shipped are lined with a protective material in order to prevent humidity from entering the container. The result is that it still traps residual moisture from the manufacturing process in Europe, which may not have evaporated completely The manufacturing team has changed their procedures to ensure that all raw materials are left open for 7 days prior to processing/printing here in the United States. The containers will be removed from the truck once the goods have been removed. A raw material could have been processed within 24 hours of receipt previously. All our products are CPSIA compliant and certified by Tex ECO Passport. As a result of curing in the printing process, they are non-flammable and completely inert to chemicals.
