Questions & Answers
It looks a lot like the windshield rain x. The concept is the same, except your shower doors will be completely safe. It does a lot to keep the crowds at the doors at bay. It maintains the clarity of your glass.
Yes, there are a lot of fumes. The bottle suggests using it in a well-ventilated area, which is difficult to achieve in a shower stall. Use this with caution if you have any respiratory or other medical issues. With the fan on, I had a coughing fit in a matter of seconds. There are no medical issues that I am aware of.
Prepare to rub your hands a lot. It takes a long time to apply the product properly, so it's easier to just use a squeegee every day to keep your glass shower clean.
You should put on a mask because the chemical odor is too strong. It was difficult to take a breath. Currently, I'm using a different product.

If you do everything correctly, the end result will be fantastic! This is a time-consuming task because you must thoroughly wash and scrub the shower glass before drying it. Spray on a cloth and rub in circular patterns to cover the entire door(s) once it has dried. It still needs to dry for a few minutes before a second coat can be applied! When you're finished, wipe away any streaks or cloudiness that may have appeared. The water will simply roll off the next time you shower, resulting in a long-lasting shower. shower door made of clear glass that lasts for a long time Being patient and doing this right took a lot of effort, but it was well worth it!.
This product is a complete waste of time and money. br>br>Rain br>Rain br>Rain br>Rain b On car windows, x looks great. Not so much in the way of shower doors.
I followed the instructions 100% and applied 2- After thoroughly cleaning the shower doors, apply coats. This was done on brand-new shower doors with no soap scum or residue, so it should be fine, right? br>br>This is incorrect. br>For starters, applying and buffing off the haze to make the glass clear again is a pain. Second, it simply does not function properly. Water, as well as the humidity found in a shower area, collects on the glass panes (perhaps in smaller beads, but it still collects). I don't see any benefit or difference between using the product and not using it at all. br>Third, it is short-lived. 1 hour later There is no benefit after a week, and if you wipe them down to clean them, the product will be gone. br>br>Rain br>Rain br>Rain br>Rain b When x is used on car windows, it has the benefit of allowing high-velocity air to flow over them while driving, which helps to keep rain beads from forming on the glass. br>Shower doors are not powered by electricity and rely solely on gravity to operate. It is a colossal failure. br>br>This product was a waste of money for me.
When you apply this stuff, it smells like a vaporous chemical bomb, and I swear I'm going to sprout a sixth toe any day now after only half a bottle. It also has an oily consistency, leaving smeary streaks on your shower door. which, to be honest, is probably even more obnoxious than watermarks. I applied two coats (waiting 5 minutes between each), then tried to remove or smooth it with two more rounds of dry cloth application (which was exhausting in and of itself, as it meant I had effectively "washed" my shower door four times), but there were still streaks. For the next week or so, the doors were slightly smeary, but they eventually cleared out. In the meantime, I suppose there were fewer water marks, but not enough to make me want to buy this stuff and spend so much time applying it again. Let's get this party started.
My shower was recently remodeled, and a frameless glass door was installed. Because glass is porous, water spots appear over time and do not disappear. The door's installer is employed by a reputable company. a well-known glass door manufacturer He said yes when I asked if this product was safe for this particular shower door. Just don't get it on the metal hinges or the clear plastic threshold/water barrier strips/clear caulk around the glass's edges, he said. To avoid getting it on those areas, I sprayed it on a cloth and dabbed it on. I've only used it a couple of times in the last three years. It had been four weeks. My shower is used on a daily basis, and the water barely collects on the door after all of that time; it beads up and rolls down. With a squeegee, any remaining water can be quickly wiped away. I don't see any evidence of water! I purchased the cleaner from Rain-X. I have X as well, but I have yet to use it. If your glass doors come into contact with water, you should definitely try this product. It's a pity that you spent thousands of dollars on doors only to have them permanently stained with water spots.
This product is a waste of money. Purchase some Griot's Garage Glass Sleant instead, which will work 100 times better. I made use of the Rain- Here's X product, which barely looked at all and wouldn't wipe off without a Mr. Miagi wax-based remover. After the off session, I had a dead arm. The Griot's Glass Sealant was equally effective on the shower door as it was on my car's windshield. Go get it and save yourself some time and effort, because the Griots wiped it off with ease and left the door hydrophobic.
Because of the soap, I still have spotting. I got this for spotting on the shower doors when we redone our bathroom. It didn't work as well as I expected and had a strong odor. Instead, I've switched to using dryer sheets on the doors, which have proven to be very effective. Because of the soap, there is still spotting, but dryer sheets remove it quickly and the door looks brand new.
Make sure you don't throw your money away. Simply purchase a squeegee and hang it on the wall of your shower. This stuff works, but it only lasts two or three showers before your door reverts to its previous state. Hard water marks on my shower door did not appear to be lessening. br>br>The odor is also unpleasant, but this is something that cannot always be avoided. I didn't deduct any stars for it (it already had none because it's useless), but if you're sensitive to strong cleaner odors, don't buy it.
UPDATE! br>So, below is the review I left right after cleaning the glass door, which came out great, but the streaks started to appear again about 3 days later. That's why I returned to remove a start, despite the fact that the bottle claims to last three weeks. I'll still buy the product because it cleans my glass shower door; however, it doesn't last as long as it claims. br>br>It's fantastic, and I'll be buying it again! Soap residue had begun to build up heavily on my shower door and shower window, making it difficult to see through; however, this product has restored the clarity of my glass! I did have to apply two coats because the instructions on the bottle state that if you still see spots, you should apply two coats. There are a few small areas that I didn t get 100%, but they are so small that I didn t feel the need for a third coat. I'm very pleased with the results because the glass already looks SO MUCH BETTER!.
