As my crawling infant grew, my every other week mopping schedule was no longer practical, so I decided to buy a spray mop so that I could clean more frequently. In the past, I have used Swiffer furniture cleaners, but I didn't want to continue to buy their pads and solution. Even though the reviews are mixed, I gave this a try, because OXO products are always well designed. Now I have used it almost every day for a month and I am in love with To hang it up, I use a broom gripper. It has not leaked (I use the gripper to fix the broom). The ability to mix my own solution is wonderful, but I suggest you do not add any essential oils to it. In order to eliminate the vinegar smell, I added a few drops of essential oil (which was recommended on the instruction card) and this significantly weakened the spray. The spray continued to work, but it was only half as strong as it should be. When I cleaned the nozzle and flushed the system with vinegar and water, everything came back to normal.
Compared to the competition, it's not worth the difference in price. For nearly nine months I thoroughly enjoyed this mop, though for the first time about one third of the bottle emptied out onto the floor as The leak was the air intake, not any part of the tubing. I opened it up to see if any tubing was loose, but found that the air intake was loose. Nothing was noticeable as far as damage or wear is concerned. In an attempt to determine if the issue was related to the bottle, I tried the spare that came with it. I believe this is an inherent defect in the design. Because I have always been satisfied with the quality and durability of OXO products, I choose to pay extra for their version. The OXO products I have in my kitchen are numerous. As far as I am concerned, this piece of junk has tarnished their reputation.
2/15/21 It was reported that after just under a year of use, the bottle broke down as other reviewers said it would. The premium product from Oxo I expect to last for a long time does not exist. It is still better than the other product i have used. I have taken off a star because I still enjoy using it. The product that I ordered was not quite reliable. I repurchased rather quickly, but will probably look for something more reliable next time. I am a great fan of OXO products because they are simple, durable, and give great value over time. No package set is an exception to this rule. There was only one complaint I had I wish I had seen the package set first before purchasing I bought the complete set after I was so pleased with the mop. I find the mop attachment to be the only drawback of this product for my use since it tends to disconnect When I need to recall it, I can usually just snap it back in with my feet, but if it could only separate with the release lever, it would be nice. In the past, I have seen reviews where there was leakage or issues with bottles. I have not yet encountered issues like those. Reviewers also complained about the durability of the handle when using it heavily. If you are going to use it a lot, find something more expensive. In case you are a professional cleaner or working on a heavy-duty project, this is not the tool for you. Edit
It is still a great product, and months after my purchase, I am still extremely happy with it. However, I found that the Multi-player is actually more powerful than the normal player When you buy independently, the base unit is much shorter than when you buy the pack. If the task is going to take a long time, that might be an important consideration.
I highly recommend it. My goal was to replace my corded steam mop with this one because it is easy to use and gives me an opportunity to replace it (though it does disinfect quite well, but I was tired of plugging it into every room of the house). It was a good find to find this mop. There are nice features such as the foot-rest that make this product seem durable The scrubby has been released. Now that I've had it for about a month, I am sure it will be good. The leaking that others have described in my experience is not the same as mine, but I can see how it could occur. Upon removing the bottle, I discovered a pool of solution in the section where the bottle is connected. It seems that the solution would continue to build up in the bottle over time if it is left in there. The mop works fine without the bottle if I leave it off while storing it. It also dawned on me that after the bottle is removed, there is still solution in the line that must This is only a theory, but I imagine if left in there that eventually the line would get clogged and the trigger might not work any longer, or wherever the solution is left to go. In other words, I squeeze the trigger and mop until all the solution has been mopped up after removing the bottle. So far, I have not experienced any problems. It's an adorable little mop, I really like it. The majority of our floors are tile, so this is a great thing to grab when I need to spot clean, but also holds up well if I need to clean every room in the house.
While this is not a traditional sponge mop - There is no better alternative that I have found so far and it's free I love how intuitive it is and how easy it is to use I didn't expect there to be so many extra features in this program. It has now been a year since I bought this mop, and it just broke down. The pump worked pretty well for the year I had it, but was prone to leaking from time to time. While I was mopping my laundry room floor this morning, cleaning solution was all over the floor and the mop dripped The price of this mop is double what a libman mop or even a swiffer mop costs, therefore I expected it to last longer than a year. The product will not be repurchased by me.
