It seems I've tried all the major brands and several more I'd never have thought about, such as Polaroid, Panasonic, CVS, Walgreens, and a few By ignoring other people's comments, I had a go at my own test. For the lamps, I used three headlamps that we use for camping, two of which were 150 lumens and one of which was In the 200, I used three Rayovac Fusion batteries, and in the other two, I used Energizer and Duracell batteries. It may be true that alkaline batteries do not last as long as those in Fusion. On high, they all lasted quite some time and I am a fan of the Fusion batteries. In the end, it was cheaper than my headlamp, but it still lasted 5 hours on high before I got bored and turned it off, because no one leaves their headlamp on high for 5 hours nonstop. In other words, they did not leak or were dead out of the box. It did what it said it would. A new fan has joined the team.

This wasn't sustainable on the first go it didn't even last half an hour!
I found these to be very customer-friendly, as they have a very high rating on Consumer Reports. The words "never thought they may not last" were never in my mind, and this is why I thought they were defective and that you won't know for a long time if you don't use them all up. The only thing I hope is that I got rid of the duds and the others were good.

I have used other "popular" brands for years, but finally decided to give Fusion a try. First purchased in the local store, excellent battery seems to last much longer than other brands, so I stocked up on all sizes with Amazon to get better prices. I would definitely recommend Fusion to anyone.

The reason I like Rayovac batteries in general is their reasonable price and that they are leak-proof. We have lost several flashlights over the last few years due to leaking Duracell batteries. It's impossible for me to verify that the Fusion batteries will be durable for years in a storage cabinet, but I've been satisfied with how long they perform in daily.
