Previously, this package had been open and taped back together without any energizer labels. It just had a cut up plastic case that was shipped to me unlabeled. Some sort of crimping appears to have occurred on the metal surfaces of the batteries. Although I'm not sure if I should be worried about this damage, I won't put the dolls in the toy I bought for the baby. The brick and mortar store would have been a better place to purchase these.

It is disappointing that the longevity of this product is so short. Our trash can automatically disposed of these batteries. I had a set of Duracell batteries that lasted almost two I only had these Energizer Max batteries for 3 months before they failed. As I did not expect there to be such a difference between the longevity of these two brands, I assumed that the automatic lid was broken. The Energizer Max batteries might just be of lower quality because they are supposed to have a shelf life of 10 years. I assumed they were an old batch, but given that D batteries are supposed to last a decade, I think they were just an old batch.

I received my batteries in an unattractive box that had no seal and was held together with tape only along the sides. These batteries appeared to have been previously used because they were scuffed and banged up. Three "new" D batteries were in an automatic cat feeder, and the digital meter indicated that a new battery was needed My battery out is dim, and I have high doubts about their longevity. I bought them online for the first and last time.
