I was so satisfied with the performance of my previous purchase that I had little to no qualms about using a battery that had not been tested by APC in their UPS unit. I'm glad I thought through APC's fear-based marketing strategy and concluded that their batteries are superior. Even though the battery is used to provide a consistent power supply to our beloved electronics, the UPS unit is in charge of doing so. The battery is a power source. The question is how long it will keep a full (or sufficient) charge over several years of use. I don't have any long-term experience to speak of, but I was happy to switch from an APC battery to a Mighty Max battery for less than half the price and with my own satisfaction with the power provided by my previous purchase. If you need the F1/F2 adapters, you should definitely contact the seller (Mighty Max). Compare the terminal dimensions to the specifications listed on the product page. The adapters are simply a couple of metal pieces that slide onto the terminal, but they are the RIGHT kind of metal. Look at the image.

Like many of the other reviewers, I bought this to replace my OEM APC battery in a BE550 UPS, which seems to last about three years. I noticed the terminal size difference, as did other shoppers. It's not a big deal; a pair of pliers will take care of it. Well, it's been 6 months since I bought it, and at 3:00 a. m. , I awoke to the screeching of my Security camera UPS squealing from the basement. 30AM. When something interrupts my sleep, it's not a good time. Needless to say, I removed the battery, turned off the UPS and cameras, and went straight to Amazon to order an OEM battery with the quickest possible shipping. I've got my UPS back up and running (thanks to AMZN). Take a chance on a no-name, low-cost alternative, but in my experience, it's worth it to pay the extra $15 for an APC-approved battery. Your results may vary, and I wish you the best of luck.

The terminals on the battery I got are much narrower than the ones on my original APC battery. The positive terminal was a little loose, but it stayed in place, whereas the negative terminal would never stay put. I couldn't get the battery back into the UPS because it kept falling off. The battery appeared to be useless, so I ordered an OEM battery for more than twice the price; later, a Mighty Max representative offered to send terminal adapters, but I had already installed the expensive battery. I might have accepted their offer if customer service had been a little quicker in responding. If you have the same issue, you should contact them about terminal adapters.

For my APC BE550G UPS units, I purchased two of these batteries. The terminals on the batteries are type F1 size, but the connectors on the APC UPS Units are designed to connect to type F2 size terminals, which are wider than type F1 terminals. While you might be able to connect them, the connection won't be as strong as it should be, and it could easily fall apart. br>br>I read in other Amazon reviews of this product that people had contacted MightyMax batteries about the problem, and that MightyMax batteries had provided adapters "at no charge" to convert the battery terminals to the F2 type. I contacted MightyMax batteries directly via email, and they were kind enough to send me two free adapter sets as well. I have a solid connection between the battery and my UPS unit, and both are working well, thanks to these adapters, which are simple to install.

This is for a BE550G UPS that I purchased. The battery (not the terminals) is just a smidgeon too tall to fit inside the UPS case. br>br>I ended up returning the battery after a pleasant email exchange with the vendor because I didn't want to keep it outside the case. The refunded amount barely covered the cost of return shipping. br>br>As others have pointed out, the terminals are also too small, but I think I could have dealt with them. I couldn't stand the idea of running the UPS with the battery outside the case.

This is the second time I've had to replace the battery in my UPS. The original battery lasted about three years, but this one only lasts about two years. My sample size is clearly insufficient to make any conclusions, and I didn't realize either needed to be replaced until I experienced power outages. In any case, the cost ($18 vs. $20) is a significant difference. My decision was easy because the price ($34) was so low. Although one of the battery clips in my previous replacement blocked the opening of the battery compartment until I figured out what was wrong, installation was simple. Also, kudos to the supplier, who expedited the delivery by using priority mail; I didn't think it would happen for another couple of weeks.

Initially, I was pleased with this purchase, but the UPS began chirping this morning, indicating that the battery had died. I used a voltmeter to check it, and it only reads 7. 9 volts. I'm one month past the one-year warranty period, so I'm out of luck. I bought it because of the low price, but I'm thinking about switching to a different brand in the future.

It is a good deal. Now it's just a matter of time before we find out how long it will last.
