For my home security system, I needed a new Casil Battery. I had the original home alarm system, which included the backup battery, since it was new. It took about an hour to charge the battery. It was 5 years old when it began to lose its charge, as evidenced by my system's "beeping" warning noise. br>*I checked local stores, and they wanted anywhere between USD 39 and USD 100 to come out and replace it. br>*After doing some research online, I decided to order this from EastSecurityMarketLLC on Amazon. br>*It looked EXACTLY like my old battery when it arrived. I placed an order for the following: Genuine Casil CA1240 SLA Alarm Battery, 12V 4Ah, Casil. br>*I was very pleased with the price, order acknowledgement, package tracking, and delivery speed. br>I have no reservations in recommending it. br>PS It's been in the home alarm system for about three months and hasn't caused any issues. br>Wishing you all the best.
I only sell brand new, fully charged batteries. They re- They use electricity from your power outlet to charge through the device (alarm panel) that they use.
This battery is constantly charged by a DC transformer as part of our home security system. When and if the power goes out, the alarm system keeps working until the battery runs out or the power comes back on. The battery typically lasts four to six years and, like any rechargable battery, must be charged frequently during and after use.

Why can't you (the seller) just put a picture and a description of what you're selling? In fact, I received a 12v 4AH battery for my alarm system, but the listing specifically states that this purchase is for a genuine CASIL CA- SLA Battery, 1240 Volts, 4 Amp Hours, 1240 Volts, 4 Amp Hours The one I got looks the same and probably works the same, but I'm going to get irritated if I don't get what was pictured and described. According to other listings for the battery I did receive, Pro Power is the only authorized distributor for Casil batteries in the United States. If that's the case, instead of a photo of the Casil battery, include a photo of your Pro Power battery in the listing description. If I didn't value my time more than the $20 I spent on this, I'd send it back and order from somewhere else. Bottom line, I'm not sure if it's the same thing, but you won't get what's shown in the picture!.
Many people had complained about old, faulty batteries or items that didn't match the description for the item I purchased (backup battery for alarm system). Despite the fact that it had only been a week since I received it, the battery I received had a manufacture date of this year and matched the product description. br>br>I replaced my old battery in the hopes of ending the beeping errors, but the alarm system chirped again with the low battery error after a few hours. After that, I discovered that charging the new battery can take up to 48 hours. I was still getting the low battery error after three days. Now is the time to complain to Amazon. br>br>Amazon says they can't refund or replace the item because it was shipped directly from the manufacturer, but they refer me to AAA Security Depot. That customer service representative said they would replace the item, but first suggested I try resetting the alarm system by unplugging it for an hour and putting it into test mode. While the battery's longevity is yet to be determined, I want to thank the seller for their friendly and helpful customer service, and hopefully I will be able to update this review in a year or so with a positive battery status. br>br>While the battery's longevity is yet to be determined, I want to thank the seller for their friendly and helpful customer service. br>br>While the battery's longevity is yet to be determined, I want to thank the seller for their friendly and helpful customer service br>br>***** Update ****
One thing they didn't tell me was that the transformer, like the battery, can go bad at any time. I only had the battery for a few months before I started getting low battery notifications again. The transformer was only revealed to me after I contacted AAA about the problem. To cut a long story short, I ended up buying a transformer and then another battery, and the rest is history, but I wish I had known sooner.
Purchased as a replacement for a home alarm, it worked for about 5 months before the alarm began to go off at random, with a BAT error indicating the system battery was low. I paid to have the alarm system checked out because the battery should last at least three years. For the past four years, I've been a part of an alarm system. The battery passed all tests, but the error and random alarms vanished as soon as I replaced it with a Duracell battery. Be cautious; this appears to be a low-quality battery, or the batteries are simply old when purchased as new.
This battery in the home alarm system is very simple to replace. Removed the old one and replaced it with the new one. I started by watching some YouTube videos to see what the recommendations were for turning off the power or resetting the panel. I didn't have to shut off the power at the circuit breaker. The most important thing to remember when selecting a battery is to match the original battery's Voltage and Ampere. I went to several stores that only sold batteries with a capacity of 5Ah or higher, all of which appeared to be the same. My system required 4Ah, which I purchased online, and the "Batt" indicator on the alarm panel went out after a few hours to a day. To'reset' it, you don't need any codes.
NPP (Guangzhou NPP Power Co. ) supplied the two batteries I received. Ltd. ) batteries with the same voltage and Ah rating, but the terminals don't fit my alarm wires without adapters. The batteries did come with adapters, and they may be good batteries, but I'm giving this a one-star rating because the product name, description, and image are all misleading.
In December 2018, the following was added to the review: br>It wasn't until I placed a new order that I realized my failed battery was still covered by the one-year warranty, so I contacted the seller to learn more about the process. Their response is that you must mail the battery to them at your expense, that they will test the battery to see if it has truly failed, and that if the battery is found to be in good working order, you will be responsible for paying for the battery to be returned to you. I understand that warranty verification is necessary, but this process is more expensive than simply buying a new battery. I'm just hoping my new battery lasts a little longer this time. br>br>March 2018 review: br>Fast and efficient delivery. Shipped the same day as the order and arrived a few days later via USPS Priority mail. As advertised, this is a genuine Casil battery. br>br>The only flaw is that the LED flashlight does not work, but that isn't a deal breaker for me.
The item arrived on time, though I was concerned that it had been sitting in a postal pedestal box in 100-degree weather. Extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, are well known to damage batteries. This, in my opinion, is a delivery issue that Amazon should look into when it comes to time- or weather-sensitive products. The battery was purchased to replace a ten-year-old alarm battery, and it appears to be working properly. The terminal safety covers were difficult to remove, which made the installation take a little longer than expected. The installation, on the other hand, took only a few minutes to complete. This coming year, I'll give a report on the battery's utility quality. My initial reviews are all four stars, with the passage of time being the deciding factor!.
