After a while, the fan and lights stopped working completely. Later discovered that, despite being connected to an electrical circuit, the remote still required the 23A 12V battery. I purchased Duracell batteries from Amazon (which I prefer because I believe they are more dependable), installed them, and they worked perfectly! I purchased four more and will store them in the refrigerator until they are required.

On the day they arrived, I tested the batteries with my volt/ohm meter. As I held my meter leads on one battery, it was rapidly draining. The second battery had a voltage of less than twelve volts. This vendor should not be purchased from.

I used these to replace a garage door battery that was probably 5 years old and didn't leak, unlike nearly every other duracell I've used. I wanted energizers that never leak, but I needed them fast, and the bunny batteries were nowhere to be found in my area, and they were two weeks away on Amazon. I'm hoping for a five-year gap between the two.
