This was purchased by my wife because I am such a fan of the Dohm Classic white noise machine that I have been bringing it into my office to use whenever it isn't running for our child. There is a lot of noise in my house due to the hardwoods, but the Dohm Classic drowns it out. Based on the reviews I read about the rattling and high pitched whine the UNO makes, I was worried I would not be as impressed with this less expensive model. It turns out the complaints are overblown, at least according to my viewpoint. The volume of the Classic is definitely not as loud as the Classic on high, but it's not a huge difference. The white noise still provides a soothing, analog experience, and it's loud enough to drown out the sounds of floors creaking and cars driving by, which can easily throw my ADHD brain off course. Classics are better, but this isn't as good. When I use the Uno on high, the sound isn't quite as loud as when I use the classic Dohm on low.
