I've come here, like other reviewers before me, to say that all good things must come to an end. On January 21, 2019, I purchased a Dohm. On the 23rd, it arrived, and I immediately put it to work. Every night before I go to bed, I use it. I agree with others that the noise level could be better; I had to turn it all the way up for the maximum noise level, and it still didn't drown out everything very well at times. But it was fine as long as I kept it on my nightstand. I brought it with me on a trip to Pittsburgh and then to New York. It was convenient to travel with, which I appreciated. It finally wore out tonight, I guess. It began to make a strange humming noise, which was difficult to distinguish (my boyfriend told me I was insane), but I could tell there was a difference in pitch, and I couldn't sleep. I tried to open it up because it only has four screws on the bottom to hold it together, but the factory must have glued them in place because I can't get them to move. I suppose I'll have to toss this one out and look for a new noise maker.

Even at the lower volume level, I found it to be too loud. This is more of a roar than a soothing background noise. I'll probably store it in a drawer or closet if I don't use it.

We have one in each room (baby's room, toddler's room, and our room) because we love them so much! Rather than using a recording, I prefer "real" white noise. There will be no looping this time. And I like that the sound can be adjusted in a variety of ways: There are two volume levels, and the top cover can be turned to reveal different holes. It changes the volume between loud and quiet. This is something I would strongly advise anyone expecting a child, or even an adult, to do!.

They prefer the sound/hum/swish of a fan to prerecorded looped sounds. This small device has two speeds and can provide various intensities. This is a fantastic little machine that ensures a restful night's sleep.

This was purchased for the nursery of my three-month-old son. It's fantastic! After a while, it develops some sort of resonance, but it's barely audible or rhythmic. Perhaps it contributes to the tranquility! We've taken it on vacation with us, and I'm happy to report that it was able to drown out the three roosters outside who don't know when it's time to crow. And that wasn't even at maximum volume!.

It makes a lot of noise, which helps to drown out my noisy family. When my 9-month-old son's extended family visits or we visit them, it works wonders at keeping him asleep from their loud drunken antics. A wide range of options is available thanks to the adjustable settings.

My two daughters both gave birth to new granddaughters a month apart. They're both over a year old now, but I gave them this when they were about 2-years-old. 3 months of age. Both families have been using this as a sleep aid on a daily basis for several months. It's a fantastic product that's well-made and doesn't require any batteries.
