Questions & Answers
Remove metal pieces from the bra and machine wash in a lingerie bag. Air dry over something heavy to make sure that it holds its shape and dries quickly.
I don't know, but it might be similar to the one at the doctor's office
On the label of the product it says to hand wash in cold water using a mild soap and not to use bleach
It did, for sure.

"No sir!" is more like it! The brace I received was very disappointing to me. Almost immediately after wearing it, it began appearing to come apart at the seams (literally). Clearly visible were the thumb and wrist stays that protruded through the material. The stays had to be removed from the brace, which meant I had to cut away all the flapping material that had held them in. It was thus no longer safe for the brace to be worn, and the integrity was compromised. As well as that, the area through which you place your hand is lined with a thin material called a sweatband that is much thinner than the actual brace. It is part of this section of the velcro straps that also frayed. Honestly, I'm beyond surprised that the Ossur product I bought is so poor in quality!.
There is no way to tell whether my brace is defective or not but I'm so upset! For combating my De Quervains, I have tried the Spica brace and it has proven to be the best. Aren't you the only one with a A month after it was introduced, the wrist stabiliser wore through its casing. The benefit of using this product is that it is able to help with weight loss As compared to other thumb braces I have tried, this one really holds that thumb in place. I like this brace so much, but it doesn't seem sustainable to order a new one every couple of If the metal scrapes against something, it has to be dealt with. The way I feel over here is like being Wolverine. What are the chances that this brace just happened by chance? Is this a problem for anyone else?.
It has only been three months since I purchased this brace and I found that even when I sleep in it and wear it almost daily, I still feel discomfort and there is no support. I also noticed a tear by the thumb area and the steel splint is visible. There is only a 30 day warranty for this product, which is very disappointing. There is no way I will buy this brace again, since it is so Invest your money instead of wasting it. Made in Taiwan, this brace is lightweight and comfortable. In the USA, it is difficult to find any brace made by doctors.
De Quervain's tenosynovitis is treated well with these braces. While they initially last a long time, the areas by the thumb and at the palm begin to fray after a while. My solution for fraying is to apply clear nail polish to any that begin, as this keeps the frays from developing, and I do not need to buy new ones all the time. In the past, I used them most days when I was experiencing symptoms, but when my symptoms were resolved with cortisone injections and physical therapy, I use them only when typing or lifting heavy objects.
It was too long to wear the straps so I already had them cut. The extra small would have been extremely useful for my immediate needs, otherwise I would have returned for it. I ordered medium compression gloves because I am a larger woman, but thank goodness I measured my wrist because without it I would never have been able to wear them! There is not much Velcro for the straps to adhere to when I tighten the straps so much. As an alternative to these three strip Velcros, it would be best to get the one with strings for tightening. That's the type they showed me at the doctor's office and I would have been charged $300, but this one only costs.
I noticed a problem with the stitching of the thumb spica metal support, as it tore in a few days, and the metal can be seen through the stitching. There is a problem with the metal support when it is stitched together because the pressure rips the thread and then the thumb is less secure because the stitching is ripped. I am writing this review in updated form since I previously wrote one soon after I received In place of my previous rating of 5, I now give 4 stars.
An orthopedist recommended them for both hands, as they were both suffering from carpal tunnel and While I like the braces, I think the metal ends near the base of the thumb have a slight design flaw (in my opinion). A week or so later, after the corner of the metal had pushed through the fabric of the fabric, the metal came out of the fabric. It is not enough to effect the efficacy of the medicine, but it is certainly irritating. The velcro that hangs and dangles quite a bit on my very small wrists. I ordered an xsmall and there is still a lot of excess velcro. off the toes of a sock and pull the sock over the whole brace to keep all the flaps in place this also helps As a whole, they are very comfortable and I can sleep in them at night. Even though they're a little on the bulky side, sleeping with them is not a problem.
The thumb on my right hand had to be immobilized for several weeks while I supported the wrist. It was awesome to wear this brace! From the moment I put it on, I felt a sense of relief. My watch gradually wore out after almost four months of daily wearing it. As I kept up with it, it kept up with me as well. I still use it up and down as needed, even though it has some cosmetic damage now. The only complaint I have is that I have not received anything.
