The liquid caplets work well to put me to sleep within a half hour to an hour of taking the capsules. I find it only keeps me asleep for about 4 hours if I take the full dose. As a senior, it does help relieve the minor aches and pains I experience, helping me get to sleep in a less painful manner. If you drink a glass of water with these caplets, they will be easier for you to swallow. The only way to avoid them sticking in your throat is to swallow them dry. Although I might be awake again in much shorter than 8 hours, there seems to be a sort of brain fog for at least 8 to 10 hours after taking two (the dose they recommend for adults). It is not recommended to use these unless you are certain you will have at least an 8 to 10 hour recovery period.

These work for me. Depending on the ambient temperature and noise, my body will determine if I will stay awake or not. Although the pain killer in them will temporarily help to block minor pains and aches, I do not think the pain killer will be effective for chronic It seems that taking these has helped calm restless leg syndrome as well. The only downside to these for me is occasionally waking up with intense leg cramps (Charlie Horses) in my feet and legs after taking them for a few hours.

Overall these are useful for me but The two other sleeping pills I have tried are Melatonin and Unisom. In order for this Advil PM to be effective, it has to work between these two. This is powerful enough to keep me from becoming inoperative, but not so powerful that it makes me inactive.

Because I ordered a large quantity, I did not find the price to be too steep.
