To put it another way, there isn't a mood-based system in place. Pamprin's main ingredient is being changed; It's just that you're less in pain, which improves your mood. I purchase several bottles and keep one in each of the bathrooms on the upper and lower levels. I also have a backup bottle in case she forgets hers at work or runs out (mama didn't raise any dummies!).
These are fantastic. Normally, I'd use them when I was on my period. They usually work, but if I take them shortly after my period begins, they don't seem to work as well for cramping, but if I take another dose after 6 hours, it kicks in and kills all pain, and I feel great. It numbs your senses and makes you a little loopy. (If you don't drink a lot of water, it won't work as well. ) It makes me extremely tired and can put me to sleep for up to four hours during the day. After 45 minutes, these usually kick in and begin working, leaving you exhausted. It relieves cramps, headaches, and, on rare occasions, muscle and back aches (which I don't experience often). These are the only pain relievers I use. I take these occasionally if I want to go to bed early because they truly knock you out.

It works wonders for lower back pain, cramps, and moodiness caused by menstruation. **** I don't get severe cramps, but my lower back always hurts during that time of the month, and this has helped me get through it. There are others that do similar things, but they all have caffeine, which means I can't take them at night. Although it makes me drowsy, it helps with PMS symptoms (which I sometimes take even when I'm not having PMS).
