Herniated disc in my L5 is the cause of my pain. Recently I experienced severe back spasms which caused severe pain and inflammation in my back. I love the flavor of this product, even though it has a really strong menthol smell The smell seems to be working at the moment, so I don't find it offensive. It's amazing how much pain relief there is. This helps me be able to massage some knots out of my muscles because the pain has finally subsided enough so that I can easily an avid runner, this is of particular importance to me since my knee has been bothering me. Therefore, I must point out that the jar I ordered arrived broken with a chunk out of the lid, spilling so much product - - I am very disappointed. This is really a five - star product so I would love to see an updated review if I get a replacement But I can't take it as it is too damaged to take with me on my work trip in the morning.

There is an item I received that looks exactly like what it was used for at my chiropractor 2 years ago, same name, etc. Completely disappointed with it. The pain relief provided by this one is zero. As if this was a cheap knockoff with a price tag of almost $50, it is a sad attempt. A menthol smell alone would be worth up to $100. 00, and I would not mind paying that much for something that relieves pain.
