100% I have more than a dozen tattoos and I have used this product for every one of them. Excellent outcomes.
The Aquaphor Healing Ointment is the same as the Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment in terms of formulation. When looking for skin care products for children, we know that many parents and caregivers go to the baby care aisle. If it's shelved in the baby care aisle, our retail partners have requested that the product say "baby."
Use scissors to cut the end of the tube straight across, just like I do with expensive shampoo and lotion. Then, all the way up to the top of the cap, cut in a straight line. I apply what's left on the tube's sides directly to my skin after it's been opened. It's always possible to sever it further. When handling the plastic, be cautious because the edges are sharp. Make use of your common sense. Then there's usually enough left over in the cap area for one or two more applications. "Waste not, want not," was something I was taught as a child. "I keep a ziploc bag on hand for storage because shampoo can dry out after being cut open, and I usually get three more washes out of it."
Because my face was extremely dry from the winter, I tried it, and it worked!

A little background information: I've been a health-care provider for a year, and I wash my hands and put on/take off latex or vinyl gloves at least 10 times per day. Every day, 15 times. My eczema had progressed to the point where I needed to see a dermatologist, who explained that the constant cycle of dry to wet to dry to wet caused the hands to become extremely dry, causing eczema patches to appear. She prescribed a fluocinonide topical steroid, which I was hesitant to use because the pharmacist warned that it would literally thin my skin. I had tried almost everything up to this point (Cetaphil, Lubriderm, Vaseline Cream, Skin Repair Cream, creams in tubs, squeeze tubes, and pumps). Over the last year or so, I've probably spent over $100 on various creams to keep my hands moisturized. Not to mention that I started wearing cotton gloves every night and STILL had scratches on my hands when I woke up. br>br>Now fast forward to about a month ago, when a colleague suggested Aquaphor. It came highly recommended by my cousin, so I decided to give it a try. Reviews always stated that you shouldn't use anything in a squeeze tube because it's not a true "cream," but they also stated that you shouldn't use anything in a tub because of bacterial contamination. To make it easier to carry around, I went with the squeeze tube option. I made a conscious effort to use it on a regular basis, and I used aquaphor whenever my hands began to crack or dry. Within a week, many of my cracked and inflamed areas had begun to resemble normal skin. By two weeks, I had noticed that many of the dry areas had begun to scab and heal very well. I only have slight pink areas after a month, which are most likely scarred skin, but it's better than being dry and itchy! For months, I was self-conscious about my cracked hands, but now I don't hesitate to show them off while playing a card game, passing food across a table, or shaking someone's hand! I only use it at night and wear cotton gloves. I haven't had an itch attack in a long time, and my hands feel and look the same as they did before I started working a year ago! SUMMARY: br>br>
Pros:
- Exceptionally hydratingbr>- Clear and odorless (less irritating)br>- Squeeze tube is very handy (despite the fact that it is quite large)br>- Cons:br>br>Easy to spreadbr>br>
- VERY densebr>- Leaves a film on the skin that can be transferred to other people's hands or items you touchbr>- Makes your hands look gleamingbr>- I'm at a loss for words. br>br>TL;DR; DR - Great for eczema sufferers or those with extremely dry hands. A small amount can go a long way, and sticking to a routine will help you achieve the best results. You won't be disappointed if you pair it with cotton gloves for really bad cases like mine. I wish I had taken before and after photos, but you'll just have to trust me!.
br>Previously, the Mario Badescu Glycolic Eye cream was the only thing that helped, but I can't seem to find it on sale anywhere, and it's out of my price range now, unfortunately, after trying everything else. br>br>I went online and asked what I could do, describing all of the products I already own, and was given this recommendation. br>br>I've been using Lancome Crème Mousse Confort as a face wash and Lancome Toner as a toner. Gokujyun Alpha Lotion, Gokujyun Milky Lotion, and eye cream from Hada Labo br>SANA Nameraka Isoflavone Wrinkle Eye Cream, Hada Labo gokujyun hyaluronic cream, and JayJun horse oil are just a few of the products available. To begin with, I wasn't applying my products in the proper order (I applied the oil before the moisturizer, but the oil can be used as an occlusive, so it would have been best to apply it last). br>br>Anyway, I was told to use this as an occlusive moisturizer to keep my other products from evaporating and becoming ineffective. I looked into it and began by using the horse oil last, but when this arrived, I waited for the oil to dry before applying it. br>I use it heavily at night (I'm hoping to get a real silk pillowcase soon because my cotton pillow absorbs a lot of it) and lightly during the day. For me, it serves as an excellent foundation primer. br>br>Within a few days of using it, my skin is not only no longer flaky and dry, but it is also glowing, and my pores feel and look much better than before. br>Will definitely be adding this to my skincare routine as a permanent addition. br>br>Just a heads up, if you have oily skin, you should probably only use this on the flaky areas because it is quite tacky and oily. I enjoy the sensation because my skin is so dry in the winter, but I can see how it would irritate someone with oilier skin. br>br>I've been using it on my hands and dry elbows, as well as my chronically chapped lips, and it's amazing how well it works. Definitely recommend to anyone who suffers from dry skin.
