Questions & Answers

How do you apply its adhesive with a glucose monitoring sensor (Freestyle Libre)? Do you stick it on the sensor or on the skin?

Dexcom and Skin Tac are both part of my diabetes management system. Once the area has been cleaned with alcohol, I apply skin tac around the areas of skin where the needle will not go through. The liquid version of Mastisol is only to be used on skin. The only time I have applied mastisol to my skin has been to apply it topically. Please accept my sincere thanks for your assistance.

In the case of Matisol, if it has not been opened is it returnable?

Despite not returning any of my order, I assume you're not able to do so given the fact that it cannot be refunded If it's been opened, it should be used for sanitary reasons To prevent tampering as well as for safety reasons.

Is this safe to use for shallow cuts Stitches may not be present in the type Is there anything you can do to help close it ?

The product should not be used on open wounds regardless of how shallow they may be. The elastic can however be used to secure a bandage or strip over the wound to seal it.

What is the acrylic content of this product? A severe allergic reaction to acrylic is the result of my Instead of the freestyle adhesive, I plan to use this and then apply a Simpatch over it. ?

I did lose my free sensor after about 5 days, but it seems to be working well otherwise. My sensor now has a SIMPATCH attached, and I have not experienced any problems. The Mastisol and Mastisol Pro both do the job for me It is known as Simpatch.

I use it with the OmniPod and it works great! In my son's case, he uses Matisol to secure his OmniPod so that he doesn't lose it

I find the Matisol to be a perfect fit among the OmniPod and adds an extra layer of protection and allows for longer use of the product (especially in the summer).

It's a super stick

This is a winning strategy if you're looking for something that sticks. Among the tools I used during my time in Houston, TX was this one for keeping my DexCom G6 sensor and Tandem insulin pump catheter in place despite excessive sweating. This works great if you are not completely soaked in sweat for long periods of.

The sensors never stay on when my wife uses the Freestyle Libre. As an adhesive, this product failed to help and caused her latex allergy to flare up. Sorry to hear that.

I used to have to use mastisol to keep my libre from coming off when i hooked it on something, but after applying it never came off.

This was purchased so that the insulin pump would stick to my body The Insulin pump is stable even if it is submerged in water during a shower. You might even need a remover to remove it on certain occasions because the adhesive is so strong.

Do not let yourself be fooled! Try it on your skin before using it. I used this on my Freestyle Libre sensor to keep it in place. It did not only come off after 4 days, but my skin was greatly irritated by it as well. Two attempts were made, and the same result came up both times.
