My memory of the smell when new is hazy, but I don't remember one. In any event, I am certain that after washing there is no smell to be detected. This pad has been a great purchase for me. There is no problem with washing it in the machine and it dries quickly It looks brand new and is a dryer.

This one has a larger size. This item is waterproof, and it has a non-slip grip to keep it from slipping. What is most important is the feeling that our very new and somewhat expensive furnishings are safe.
A perfect size for an armchair or One is for the washer and the other will be in the cupboard.
