During the day I would put my dog on the bed next to my desk to relax, stay quiet, and keep her away from the other pets. She had surgery and I prepared her a comfortable bed next to my desk for her to stay quiet and away from my other pets for 2 weeks. It was the only way I could think of doing this while keeping the bed clean at the same time. I was very happy with the outcome. Her pads were of the large twin size, but she managed extremely well and did not develop any leaking or bleeding so I wasn't at all concerned. Because I love them so much, I am planning to use them for so many things in the future, especially right after they have been bathed and still wet. My blankets and rugs are dry, so I don't have to worry about being wet In order to dry themselves off, they can lay down on top of the pads.

A bit of a spill on the bottom sheet doesn't damage this pad, it keeps the bottom sheet dry. With its large size, it is perfect for using along with a transfer sheet when you need to transfer a patient from one end of the bed to another. By extending the length over the width of the bed, the patient can pull on a lot of material to assist them in lying on opposite sides and the opposite side will left with enough material to reverse the process. There is a bright blue wall in the room being used, which is something this blue plaid perfectly complements. With use and washing, the fabric does seem to become softer, and it appears that bleach will not ruin it. As a result, I am not using bleach every day with it. According to the product description, it is listed as a 34" x 36" pad, however it is 33" x 33". Honestly, it's not even large enough to cover the area I need to cover! It is a false advertisement at its finest. Keep it in mind if you want a pad that matches the advertised size.

I bought four of these for my grandson, who stays at my place two or three nights a week. It was so stiff that I needed to wash them twice before using them. Despite washing, it didn't seem to help much. There is nothing soft about them Laying on them causes them to wrinkle up between your legs, causing a lot of discomfort. It made me think of soft flannel when I saw the flannel pattern. There is nothing special about it. Certainly not soft in the least. Absorbent in the sense of being flexible. In the morning, when I rolled over to look at the two I had across my bed, my grandson peed on them and it rolled right off. Advertisements for water-resistant fabrics work the same way. The majority of the water was lost through evaporation. It was very disappointing for me. The sheets on my adjustable bed are hard to change because they wrinkle easily so I have several sets of straps that hold them in place, which works well, but, like I said, it makes it difficult to change my sheets every night so I bought these pads so I wouldn't have to. Their services were a waste of money.

In spite of our sweet dog being fully house-trained up until now, she developed an ITU that caused constant leakage onto our beds, sofas, and rugs, so I bought two of these blue tartan mats to protect our beds, sofas, and rugs. Despite the fact that they're simple to clean and work really well, these mats are very effective. concern is that they faded in a short period of time, even though I wash all my clothes using a gentle detergent and do not use fabric softener. That's getting to be a pain, because the blue tartan colors are beautiful. Additionally, I picked up some smaller mats in red tartan, but they, too, faded. At this day and age, manufacturers should be able to do better. It was once said that white vinegar could fix the colors of fabric if you soaked it for a while. I would have given it a try if I had known it would happen.

My observation is that the absorbency of this pad is not as great as others I have used. If you are using this for an elderly person with an uncontrollable bladder and the pad spills over onto the sheet, this might not be a good idea. There is enough length for this to tuck under the mattress, but sadly that won't do for our situation. I will not purchase this product.
