Hollister No. 1 has been our go-to brand. 7760 has been around for a long time, but the formulation has changed drastically. On the new, there are no ingredients listed. These don't work as well as the previous formulation (printed on a previously formulated product), and they won't remove the majority of the label residue we need to remove (as the previous formulation did). SD alcohol 40, Cyclomethicone, Propylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether, Decahydronaphthalene, Ethyl Acetate, Stearic Acid, Fragrance were the ingredients in the previous formulation. We can still use them as basic alcohol wipes, but the extra cost is no longer justified when compared to standard alcohol wipes.
I use this to tape my mouth shut horizontally at night to prevent sleep apnea from causing my mouth to open. This allows me to avoid wearing a full face mask by using nasal pillows instead. Before applying, I fold the ends under so that I can easily pull the tab and remove it in the morning. The official sleep apnea mouth tape is a lot more expensive. Without defeating the purpose, it's also slightly breathable. In the morning, I remove adhesive residue with adhesive remover pads designed for ostomy supplies. Otherwise, when I apply makeup, the sticky remnants show up.
Until I did a search on the internet, I had no idea Amazon sold medical supplies, let alone these. br>br>These are absolute miracles when it comes to removing all that horrible adhesive residue left behind by bandages or anything else that sticks to your body. I've been sick, and I've had to remove adhesive for a variety of reasons. br>br>I've had dozens of doctors' offices, clinics, and hospitals in my area try to remove adhesive from my body. None of the products used in various clinics, hospitals, and medical conglomerates (read: "health systems") have ever truly removed any adhesive. br>br>I first came across these at an out-of-the-way location. the- I had to "special order" them from a way small drugstore that had since closed, and I had to "special order" them from ONLY non-alcoholic sources. Now that I've discovered them on Amazon, I'm looking for chain pharmacies that provide an ordering service. br>br> I'm all set, thanks to com.
I tried everything from rubbing alcohol to soap to vaseline to lotion to remove glue from bandages left on the skin, but this was the only thing that worked for me.
Hollister is a brand I trust because it works well and does not leave a greasy residue.
It has no odor and isn't irritating.
It's fantastic.
It's great to have this product because our current adhesive remover from our current supplier is infinitely small and nearly useless.
