Bad kit. Keywords: Hiking. Sweat. If either of these factors influences your decision to purchase this item, you should pass it up. Simply put, you should not. Yes, it's thicker than regular moleskin, but before a 3, I used an alcohol prep on my heels. 1 hour and 25 minutes to complete a 5-mile hike. When I got home, both pieces had completely disintegrated and were wadded up in my socks. House brand pharmacy (much thinner, by the way, moleskin doesn't need to be "padded") has stayed on for an entire week- trips that are lengthy This is a farce and a slap in the face. If you were counting on it in the backcountry, you'd have to grade it as dangerous. Horrible.

After a long day of abuse, the "fur" will wear off. The rubbing of my work boots against my heels nullifies the'skin within 8-hours' rule. 10hrs. My wife's heels do not cause the same problem when she applies the Moleskin to her feet because the film that remains protects. When it comes time to remove the'skin,' my "biggest" gripe is that the glue does not always peel off with the rest of the product. However, this is a minor quibble because I require a high level of adhesion. Which is exactly what I get with this product. br>Note: The importance of clean, dry skin for good adhesion cannot be overstated. I also clean the area with an isopropyl alcohol pad or cloth to remove any debris.
