As I pondered the matter of how I was going to remedy it, I knew peroxide and dish soap would work Besides baking soda, I did not have any at the time because I was in the woods. When I read it worked to get rid of skunk smell, I figured that it was meant for my 70lb dog, so I used about 3/4 of the 12oz bottle on him. As a result, 95% of the smell had been eliminated. Then I gave him a bath when he got home. I just rubbed the oil all over his coat. In less than 5 minutes after it was sprayed, it was applied. Having a kid in the backseat was an amazing experience - he was a genuinely lovely child! No doubt he was happier as well! It will always be in the trunk! It seems that I have found the holy grail of poison ivy control. I have never encountered anything like this before!
