My hand was pretty badly damaged on April 2nd, so I had surgery. It had been a month since healing had begun I was expecting something better, but it wasn't what I got. A physical therapist suggested I try silicone sheets, and I got a sample of them. As a result of the silicone sheets rolling up while I slept, I needed to cover them with a stockinette, which is not practical during the Central California summer heat as well as costly Research led me to find this silicone tape which is meant for scars that you apply to the scars. It was a great set of materials. My incision had a small area surrounding a drain that healed with a small flap and was puffier than the rest. I felt like I had a Georgia O'Keefe painting right under my ear when I looked straight on. The first tape I used was thicker and more expensive, but this tape is way more flexible and stays on better than the thicker patch. The pictures (2 and 3 in the middle) show how long I've been using it. It's incredible how much better things are now.
