I'd be concerned about it sticking to the stitches because it's self-adhesive. You could probably put a nonstick pad between them, but that won't prevent your dog from trying to eat the bandage off. The bandages were still licked or eaten by ours. It will not be able to take the place of a cone. I hope this information is useful.

This is a great option for those of us who don't want to wrap tape around our pets' fur. Although the adhesive has the potential to pull hair out and cause severe irritation, these were a lifesaver. They self-adhere, eliminating the need for tape, are more appealing, and, most importantly, prevent him from experiencing pain when the bandages are removed. The best part was that it only cost ten dollars for a large quantity of bandages. We're wrapping these bandages around each ear with two pieces of cardboard, one on the outside and one on the inside. So far, everything I've said about these bandages has been positive. Definitely worth a visit, and I'll be buying some for my future Danes! Thank you very much!.

When a hawk attacked my Serama (the world's tiniest chicken), she broke her itty bitty leg, I used it on her. She sat in my lap as I wrapped her leg in small strips cut from vet wrap over a sterile bandage to make it feel soft against her skin. Because I knew the bandage would stay in place while I worked, I was very gentle. She never fought me, but she would tell me if I pushed her too hard. After ten days, her leg was completely healed, and she no longer limps!.
When my dog's paws developed a couple of small hot spots, I used this to wrap them. I was able to apply an antibiotic ointment to the wound and then wrap it in vet wrap to protect it. When the spots started to heal, the vet wrap kept them dry while also preventing her from licking them and causing more irritation. Half of my dog's back leg (Rosco) has been amputated. His leg had a bunch of small open sores all over it when I first adopted him. I begin to look for a way to encircle his leg in order to infect it. br>br>This was my first time using a vet wrap, and it was a pain. The vet wrap would unwrap itself on its own all of the time. My dog would quickly remove it after I had put it on. Because the wrap has no width, I had to keep wrapping the same area over and over while also trying to keep it from being too tight for Rosco. br>br>Eventually, I began looking for a different brand, and I discovered one that is ideal for Rosco. In comparison to what I got here, for the same price, it came with twice as much product. It also works on its own. It didn't unwrap itself because it was stuck. br>br>This is a product that I do not recommend.
