I recently purchased a new pack of these and noticed that they are the "new" version. I'd been using this brand for more than 20 years and hadn't given it much thought. As you can see from the image, there isn't much of a difference in appearance aside from a slightly "fancier design. " " The SMELL is the source of my dissatisfaction. These pads have always had an odor that I didn't care for, but the new version is made to handle all types of leaks (including bladder leaks and period use). As a result, I assume they decided to boost the "odor blocking" capability. Oh. My. Goodness. It has such a strong odor that my husband actually asked, "What is that smell?" when I was wearing this pad the other day. Is it possible that you're wearing a new perfume? ” 😳. I don't want to smell like a "pad. " " I'm really disappointed because these have been my go-to for a long time.
I've always been a loyal Stayfree customer, but their manufacturing process has changed. br>br>First and foremost. . . Whatever adhesive they're using either doesn't stick at all or sticks so well that it's impossible to remove the pad! Second. When attempting to remove a pad, it disintegrates, which is inconvenient. br>The third. I get a rash from whatever material they're using right now. They're not what they used to be. br>br> Another company that, rather than sticking to what works, makes improvements for the sake of making improvements on a product that didn't need to be improved in the first place and has failed miserably. I wish they'd return to their original form.
It's ideal for any kind of discharge, including when you're working out and need to hold some sweat, as you know. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> In July 2021, I purchased a piece of property. It's a new version, printed in 2021, as opposed to the 2017 version, which was made in a different location. The ingredients, oh, they're tiny and difficult to read. It has a scent, which I assume is called oder blocker, but the old version was fine with the amount of oder blocker, so all the company needed to do was rebrand it to include for leaks, not just period, and the bag only, not the inside. It has a very strong scent, like a perfume, which you can smell even before opening the package. If you don't mind a lingering scent. However, when visiting a GYN or if you have sensitive skin, scented products are not recommended. After so many years of loyalty to this brand, I now have to look for something new. br>br>Please bring back the old version before the new one, or at the very least sell both types so we can choose.
If you're looking for unscented pads, don't buy! They should have put a scent label on this. I can smell the fragrance even before I open the package in the evening. This is the pad for you if you enjoy scented pads. I'm looking for something that isn't scented, and this isn't it. By simply handling the pad, I've picked up some of the fragrance. The light blue core is located in the center of the pad, which is long. One of the main reasons I chose this pad is because it has a soft cotton-like surface. The fact that it's scented is a huge letdown. Stayfree might make some unscented pads, but I'm not sure.
With Stayfree, you can have a cancer-free hysterectomy. Because I'm recovering from a total hysterectomy and waiting for my cervical cancer treatment to be approved, I needed to purchase feminine hygiene products. Because I'd been on the pill for five years and had a uterine ablation a few years ago, I hadn't bought feminine hygiene products in that time. I've been using Carefree Unscented Pantiliners on a daily basis, but I've been spotting. br>br>When I went to get my old standard stay free ultrathin with wings, I discovered that they had been replaced with this. Stayfree ultra thins have been a favorite of mine for as long as I can remember, even when they were a new product. br>br>These have a similar feel to them - absorbent, hygienic, pleasant to the touch, and not bulky! br>br>These do not dry out or desiccate my sensitive post-operative vulval tissues, and they deal with any spotting I may have, as well as the unfortunate occasional dribbles/stress incontinence that follows a total hysterectomy. br>br>Excellent adhesion to cotton panties (which are the only ones I wear) and a generously sized full-length leg. Wrap wings for a plus size (size 16) petite. br>br>The older version had no fragrance at all, but the fragrance in the All-In-One is much stronger. Even though I prefer just baking soda and natural product-based odor neutralizers of the original not improved versions of these, one SF is fairly light, not a floral atrocity of someone's granny died type perfume, and instills confidence. It does not irritate my skin, and I am now on my second day wearing them. br>br>Instead of the horrible plastic scratchy mesh and weird foam of other brands, this one has a lovely cottony soft cover. It follows me around and is extremely comfortable. br>br>The only con was that one did a bunch while I was sleeping, but it wasn't a dealbreaker because by the time I got out of my shower, it was time to put on a fresh one with new underwear. br>br>I'm very happy with these; they're absorbent, soft, and non-abrasive. They're annoying, but they get the job done. I miss my old stayfrees, but I'll keep buying these as long as they're needed. These are, unfortunately, never available in stores.
These are the best because they wick moisture away from your skin and encase it in a cottony top layer. I like the length of these for both day and night—I just move them further back at night—and they stick to my skin extremely well and have never shifted. This is a brand that I've been buying for a long time. I tried the other leading brand (Always) and didn't like how plasticy it felt. The Stayfree brand has a cotton-like feel and breath, so it won't irritate your skin and will keep odor at bay.
