This is a normal kind of pad, so it's soft. While the length is twice that of a regular pad, the width is the same. It has a heavy flow and is ideal for overnight wear. the area from front to back, it's pretty much the longest pad I've ever used, but I recommend it. You can easily slide them over your underwear and they are thin and not too bulky. However, it would not be as soft as a regular pad if this is all you're interested in.

Why all the information was printed on all four sides of the box is a mystery to me. Keeping up with me, it looks like the mailman threw the box at my house Being aware that it was period products made him feel awkward, I would have assumed. All of the rest of the company's content is delivered in plain brown boxes, so I thought it was odd to have it delivered in such an oversized package.
I have been using two long size pads for coverage since I am a larger female. There is enough material here to cover all square footage needed. Thin and not prone to bunching, they are very thin. The problem is that they are very hard to find in stores. Therefore, Amazon deserves a lot of credit.
When I ran out of the hospital pads after I had a baby on Sunday, I purchased these to keep me going until I could get more. The ones I received from my parents have much better coverage and feel a lot more comfortable than the ones I was sent home with.
The first couple of days, I experience moderate to heavy flow and while these may be a bit overkill, they make me feel more secure while at work and not able to get to the bathroom immediately as well as overnight when I don't want to be up hourly to observe.
