Questions & Answers
Is it safe to assume that plugging this into a timer (or a "smart" power adapter) will turn on the lamp? I'm assuming that a touch-screen device is involved. If the device loses power, the sensitive switch will reset. Has anyone tried using a timer or a remote control with this? Is there a switch that can be controlled?
No, the position is completely fixed. But it's a fantastic light. At work, I keep it by my side and use it throughout the day. Love it!
On the back of the light, near the top center, there is a white circle with a line running through it. To turn it on, simply press your finger against that spot. It is divided into three levels: high, medium, and low. Every time you touch it, the level changes. Just a heads up: when you turn on the light, make sure you're not looking at it. It has a lot of light.
Not too hot, but warm.

This lamp is one of my favorites. It's bright and stylish, which is exactly what it should be. It's made of plastic if you look closely, but it appears to be metal or dark wood from a few feet away. It looks like a design by Frank Loyd Wright. I'd like to point out three things to potential buyers. 1) To turn it on and change the brightness, all you need is a very light touch on the button. By brushing past it, it's very easy to accidentally turn it on or change the brightness. 2) I interpreted the description as the light changing from bright to brighter to brightest to off. My system isn't set up that way. Mine flashes brightest, brightest, brightest, bright, bright, bright, bright, bright, bright, bright, bright, bright, bright, bright, bright, bright, 3) Also, because the lamp requires such a light touch, I've discovered that leaving it on my desk and pulling the top of the clock toward me at about a 45-degree angle, while making sure the front edge remains in contact with the desk, is an easy way to change the level. As a result, I have a firm, stable surface to work with and I don't accidentally press the button too many times. I give it an A for improving my mood and another A for assisting me with my sleep issues.
THIS LAMP IS PERFECT FOR ME. My working days have been completely transformed as a result of it. I recently graduated from college and started working in an office, and I didn't realize how much I craved sunlight until I couldn't sit in a window seat, do my work outside, or walk between classes any longer. I went from loving my job and the people I worked with to dreading the moment I had to walk through the doors each day in a matter of weeks. I wasn't myself in the least. purely on the spur of the moment- Alternatively, you could say "in a desperate moment"- When I was looking for sunlight lamps, I came across this one. br>br>As soon as I turned it on, I noticed a difference. I almost felt as if I'd taken a step outside and turned my face toward the sun. I keep it on the lowest setting the majority of the time I'm at my desk, and it's helped me reclaim my identity. This has the potential to change one's life forever. br>br>I'm giving it four stars because of the following: br>1) IT WORKSbr>2) IT DOESN'T TAKE UP TOO MUCH SPACE ON MY DESK AND IT ISN'T IN ANY WAY INVASIVEbr>3) IT'S CUTE-IT'S CUTE-IT'S CUTE-IT'S CUTE-IT'S CUTE-IT'S CUTE-IT'S CUTE-IT'S CUTE-IT' The design is organic, and it helps to humanize an otherwise sterile office space. br>br>The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the cord is poorly placed. It's not the worst thing because I'm currently hiding it behind my desktop. In an ideal world, I'd have a minimalist desk space with a laptop, but I wouldn't be able to hide the cord, so it wouldn't be the cleanest design. I'd give it a 4 out of 5. If that option was available, I would give it a five-star rating.
I slept for ten hours straight. When I finally realized I needed to do something about it, I was working 13 hours a day. This lamp was extremely helpful in restoring my circadian rhythm. It's a lot of fun to use. It helps me sleep better and I use it to crochet dark items because it emits a lot of warm light. It's ideal for reading, doing detailed work (such as crocheting or applying makeup), and avoiding naps.
This stuff is incredible! This is my very first Amazon review. I agree that it is a little pricey for what it appears to be when turned off (plastic), but it is well worth it for the functionality. I bought it because I've always had a hard time getting out of bed. I'm sluggish and moody all of the time. I placed the lamp on my nightstand with its back to the wall so that the light bounces back and does not harm my eyes. I turned it on at 6 a. m. eastern time, when it was still dark, and it woke me up in 5 seconds and made me happy, so I grabbed my phone to order another one for the office, but I am so awake and happy right now that I felt compelled to write a review and give it 5 stars. It's made of plastic, but it's not unattractive, and it's functional! I don't need to buy anything to feel energized to get out of bed; in fact, I'm in the mood to exercise.
Small - Approximately 12" tall - I expected it to be a little smaller, but it's a lovely design that feels personal and intriguing. There are two design flaws to be aware of: The pier plug is located in the center back of the lamp, rather than at the base, so the wire is visible. Second, while the tough lamp interface functions flawlessly, its placement (on the back, center lamp, or at the top) may not be ideal for you or your current design/location options, and it isn't particularly appealing. The light, on the other hand, is VERY BRIGHT and more than adequate for what we were looking for. It's also quite lovely.
br>However, I was concerned after reading the accompanying pamphlet, which stated that it should not be used by people who have had cataract surgery. When I contacted Circadian, they explained that this was a precaution for people who had recently undergone cataract surgery and whose eyes were still healing. Then I called my ophthalmologist to double-check that answer and see if there was any issue with using the light because of my ARMD. The answer is no, using the light is not a problem. So I'm using it, and I'm hopeful that it will help my SAD symptoms quickly!.
I bought this for my desk at work, and it's perfect! It's decorative and unobtrusive, and I like that it has brightness options as well as a therapeutic value of lux. This is a product I've been recommending to my seasonal affective disorder patients. These will be purchased as Christmas gifts because they are reasonably priced. My purchase was a great success!.
resembles a modern look. I gave it four stars because I wished I could adjust the angle of the light. In the mornings, I use this Circadian Optics Lattis light in combination with a much larger light therapy lamp in my bathroom. I move around a lot in my bathroom, so having this light along with my other lamp prevents me from feeling confined to the vanity area.
